Description générale : Le poste de postdoctorant est proposé à l’Université du Danemark du Sud (SDU) pour une durée de 2 ans, avec possibilité de prolongation. La recherche se concentre sur le développement de médicaments et de vaccins anti-infectieux, en utilisant le porc comme plateforme modèle. Le poste est situé à Odense, au Danemark.
Objectifs du projet
Le projet consiste à concevoir, coordonner et exécuter des expériences sur des porcs, tout en évaluant l’efficacité des médicaments et des vaccins à travers des analyses en laboratoire de samples dérivés de porcs. Ce travail sera mené en collaboration avec le Département du Cancer et de l’Inflammation et le Laboratoire Biomédical de la SDU, disposant d’installations modernes pour les animaux grands et petits.
Équipe et environnement de recherche
Le candidat intégré rejoindra le groupe du Professeur T. E. Andersen, rattaché au Département de Microbiologie Clinique de l’Hôpital Universitaire d’Odense. L’équipe est pluridisciplinaire, composée de médecins, de techniciens animaux, de biologistes et de biologistes moléculaires. Leur but est de traduire des découvertes fondamentales en soins améliorés pour les patients grâce à une collaboration étroite avec les départements hospitaliers et l’industrie.
Exigences et qualifications attendues
Qualifications requises : Les candidats doivent posséder un MSc, DVM ou MD, ainsi qu’un doctorat (PhD), avec une expérience de recherche dans un ou plusieurs des domaines suivants :
- Microbiologie clinique ou moléculaire
- Modèles d’infection animale
- Utilisation des porcs comme organisme modèle
- Évaluation de l’immunogénicité (ex : ELISA, cytométrie de flux, assays basés sur la culture cellulaire)
- Assays d’infection en culture cellulaire
Les candidats ayant de l’expérience dans certains de ces domaines, mais désireux d’apprendre les techniques restantes, sont également encouragés à postuler.
Aptitudes souhaitées : Une expérience en projets de collaboration entre l’industrie et le monde académique, la capacité à coordonner des projets impliquant plusieurs partenaires, et une expérience significative dans l’écriture et la publication d’articles scientifiques sont des atouts.

Location: Odense, DenmarkThe postdoc positionThe postdoc project will form a central part of a recently granted Novo Nordisk Foundation project focusing on the development of anti-infective drugs and vaccines using the pig as a model platform.Main tasks will include the design, coordination, and execution of pig experiments, and assessment of drug and vaccine efficacy through laboratory analysis of pig-derived samples, using immunological and cell culture-based assays.The project involves collaboration with The Department of Cancer and Inflammation at SDU, where immunological assays are developed and conducted, and The Biomedical Laboratory at SDU, which houses state-of-the-art small- and large animal facilities.The postdoc will join the group of Professor T. E. Andersen, affiliated with the Department of Clinical Microbiology, Odense University Hospital. The group conducts research in the interface between experimental and clinical microbiology and consists of an interdisciplinary team with backgrounds of medical doctors, animal technicians, biologists, and molecular biologists. Our research aims to translate basic science into improved patient care through close collaboration with hospital departments and industry. - Clinical or molecular microbiology
- Animal infection models
- Use of pigs as a model organism
