Dans le cadre de l’expansion rapide du réseau de production de produits secs de l’entreprise, Eli Lilly recherche un Principal Engineer – Utilities. Ce rôle est crucial pour accompagner le développement et l’optimisation de la fabrication des produits, assurer la conformité aux standards de qualité, et soutenir la montée en capacité des nouveaux sites de production.
Responsabilités clés
- Support technique : Offrir un soutien en ingénierie des utilitaires à l’équipe de livraison et à l’équipe d’ingénierie du site.
- Collaboration : Collaborer avec l’équipe d’ingénierie pour assurer la préparation opérationnelle et la conformité réglementaire.
- Formation : Développer les compétences techniques des équipes locales pour favoriser l’excellence opérationnelle.
- Analyse de causes : Utiliser des techniques d’analyse de causes pour identifier et résoudre les problèmes d’équipement.
- Suivi des performances : Documenter et évaluer les performances des équipements pour maintenir leur qualification.
- Sécurité : Maintenir un cadre de sécurité pour les systèmes d’utilitaires.
- Gestion des actifs : Contribuer à la gestion à long terme des actifs, y compris les plans de maintenance et la mise en place de systèmes de surveillance.
Exigences et compétences
Qualifications de base
- Diplôme en Ingénierie (Mécanique, Électrique ou Chimique).
- Minimum de 10 ans d’expérience dans un rôle similaire au sein d’opérations conformes aux BPF (Bonnes Pratiques de Fabrication).
- Connaissance des équipements et systèmes utilitaires.
Compétences supplémentaires
- Capacité à influencer et à travailler efficacement en équipe multidisciplinaire.
- Connaissance des BPF et des pratiques de gestion des risques.
- Expertise technique sur les systèmes de chaudières, climatiseurs, tours et autres équipements associés.
- Bilingue (Anglais/Espagnol) avec d’excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite.
- Esprit d’analyse et compétence en résolution de problèmes.
- Capacité à coacher les autres et à clarifier les enjeux complexes.

The new sites are staffed based on full-scale, steady state production; however additional surge capacity is needed to support the site start-up and help quickly ramp to full capacity rates.We are seeking Principal Engineer – Utilities to support the Dry Product Manufacturing Business in Puerto Rico. Utilities Engineering is core to delivering our product pipeline across batch and continuous Dry production and development. This position will provide technical leadership within the site Engineering team to lead aspects of scope development, design, delivery, and optimization of dry product network, new product commercialization, capacity expansion, and ongoing operations. The role is responsible to identify and ensure requirements for new products and processes are established with a focus on automated process assembly. This role also provides leadership for manufacturing platform consistency and continuous improvement and serves as the responsible engineer defined in local quality practices.Key Objectives/ Deliverables:
- Provide utilities engineering support to the Global Facility Delivery team and the Site Engineering team, with a strong focus on safe, right first-time delivery and on-time facility start-up, through application of engineering fundamentals.
- Partner with the site engineering team to provide additional capacity for tasks including but not limited to operational readiness, C&Q support, on-floor process support, document reviews, deviation investigation, change controls.
- Coach and develop local technical team capabilities to support acceleration of operational excellence and technical skills.
- Utilize root cause analysis techniques to investigate system and equipment issues and deliver robust and sustainable corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor, assess, and document equipment performance to maintain ongoing qualification of assets
- Maintain the basis of safety for facility and utilities equipment and systems.
- Assist in long-term asset management deliverables including maintenance plans, troubleshooting guides, condition monitoring equipment application/installation, and ongoing monitoring plans for these types of equipment and systems.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical)
- EIT/PE preferred
- 10+ years of experience in a similar position supporting Utilities, preferably in GMP operations
- Knowledge of utilities equipment and systems
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Demonstrated ability to influence effectively across boundaries and work in a cross functional team
- Working knowledge of GMPs and proficiency with risk management and process/equipment commissioning & qualification practices
- Technical knowledge of boilers, chillers, towers, air compressors, HVAC units, hot water skids, among others
- Technical knowledge of fluid system fundamentals such as pumping, pressure control, flow control, and associated monitoring instrumentation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong compliance mindset and sound judgment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coach others.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Ability to clarify and simplify complex issues.
- Able to support a 24/7 operation.
