The role is based from the clients site in Henlow, 3 days per week.Key skills required for this roleProduct AssuranceImportantProduct AssuranceJob descriptionOur client, a renowned organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for a Principal Product Assurance Engineer to join their Product Assurance Engineering team on a contract basis. The individual will provide professional quality support to the Manufacturing team based in the UK.Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing independent visibility and assurance that manufacturing and related processes are applied across all projects.
  • Offering support and advice on all quality aspects within UK Manufacturing.
  • Identifying and implementing sustainable process improvements to existing methods and processes.
  • Supporting the identification and reduction of project risk or problem areas associated with process application or compliance.
  • Providing professional support and advice on quality within Manufacturing UK to support business excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Offering quality assurance assistance to Manufacturing UK to support manufacturing excellence, including quality awareness and process training.
  • Supporting Manufacturing UK on all programmes to achieve cost, time, and quality targets.
  • Ensuring the Company Business Management System is tailored to and implemented in production programmes.
  • Conducting independent assessments and audits to confirm that processes and quality requirements are successfully implemented and improved.
  • Maintaining strong links with Quality Assurance colleagues to achieve quality objectives.
  • Working with Product Assurance Managers to define and implement risk reduction strategies.
  • Interfacing with Customer Representatives (DQAFF) to support the mitigation of quality issues.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in process-based integrated management systems and business improvement in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Quality Audit experience is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of EN9100/AS9100.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong planning and organising skills to handle multiple tasks and deliver set objectives.
  • Ability to identify sustainable business improvements and ensure effective implementation.
  • Understanding of internal and external customer requirements and the ability to respond to them effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a determination to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks.
  • Awareness of regulatory and certification requirements with the ability to respond appropriately.
