Présentation du poste

Dans le cadre de l’expansion de nos activités à Berne, nous recherchons un Process Engineer axé sur les Clean Utilities (f/m/d). Ce poste constitue une occasion unique de contribuer à des projets de grande envergure, tout en intégrant une culture d’entreprise qui valorise l’innovation et l’esprit d’équipe.

Responsabilités

• Opération et maintenance des systèmes de clean utility : Assurer un approvisionnement constant en eau purifiée, en vapeur propre, en gaz de procédé et en eau pour injection (WFI).
• Inspections et maintenance préventive : Réaliser des contrôles réguliers et prendre des mesures correctrices sur les équipements des clean utilities.
• Conception et optimisation des systèmes : Répondre aux exigences réglementaires et opérationnelles en matière de pureté, de fiabilité et d’efficacité.
• Gestion de projets : Agir en tant que Package Owner pour les systèmes de clean utility pendant les projets d’investissement, supervisant la planification, l’approvisionnement, l’installation et la qualification.
• Conformité légale : Assurer que tous les systèmes respectent les Bonnes Pratiques de Fabrication (GMP).
• Soutien technique : Fournir un support pratique en cas de dépannage et de résolution des problèmes de systèmes utilitaires.

Qualifications requises

• Formation : Diplôme en ingénierie mécanique, ingénierie des procédés, biotechnologie ou domaine connexe.
• Expérience : Connaissance du secteur biopharmaceutique avec expérience en conditions de production GMP.
• Compétences linguistiques : Maîtrise de l’allemand et de l’anglais, à l’écrit comme à l’oral.
• Qualités personnelles : Autonomie, capacité à travailler sous pression, sens de la responsabilité et bonne communication.
• Disponibilité : Volonté d’effectuer des astreintes en dehors des heures normales de travail.

Continuous development is in our DNA, as is the goal to achieve something extraordinary.This function is responsible for the hands-on operation, maintenance, and optimization of clean utility systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This includes systems such as purified water, clean steam, process gases, and water for injection (WFI). The engineer will also act as a Package Owner in investment projects, overseeing clean utilities within larger project scopes. The role requires participation in troubleshooting, emergency response, and on-call duties, ensuring systems operate without interruption. The engineer will lead improvement projects and support the integration of new technologies.What you can expect

• Operate and maintain clean utility systems, ensuring the continuous supply of purified water, clean steam, WFI, and process gases to the facility

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions on clean utilities equipment

• Design and optimize clean utility systems to meet regulatory and operational requirements for purity, reliability, and efficiency and lead projects to improve system performance, including energy efficiency and water usage reductions

• Act as the Package Owner for clean utility systems in large-scale investment projects and oversee the planning, procurement, installation, and qualification of clean utilities packages

• Run the planning and development of Change Control for Utilities into a Veeva workflow

• Manage clean utility system installations, from design to commissioning, qualification, and monitoring, ensuring timely project delivery

• Ensure all clean utility systems comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards

• Provide hands-on technical support for troubleshooting and resolving utility system issues, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal disruption to production.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) for any system deviations

Your skills and qualifications

• Academic education (university, university of applied sciences) in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, biology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical technology, chemistry or comparable or extensive professional experience in the field of biopharmaceutical technology

• Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry under GMP production conditions.

• Knowledge and previous experience of Utility design and operation are a plus

• Written and spoken German and English

• Initiative, ability to work under pressure, decision-making ability, judgment, independence, conscientious way of working

• Willingness to be available for on-call duties to respond to emergencies or system failures outside of normal working hours, ensuring rapid troubleshooting and resolution
