DTU recherche des candidatures pour un poste de professeur en conseil de gestion basé sur l’écosystème pour les stocks de poissons, rattaché à l’Institut National des Ressources Aquatiques (DTU Aqua) à Kgs. Lyngby. Cette fonction s’articule autour de la gestion durable des stocks de poissons et nécessite une collaboration avec des groupes d’experts internationaux.
Le professeur sera chargé de diriger la recherche dans le domaine de la modélisation écosystémique, en tenant compte des changements climatiques, des habitats et de la dynamique des stocks. Les analyses devront inclure les interactions entre espèces, la pêche récréative et commerciale, ainsi que l’intégration de données provenant de la science citoyenne et d’autres parties prenantes.
Responsabilités et Qualifications
Le candidat retenu devra :
- Diriger le domaine de recherche sur le conseil de gestion basé sur l’écosystème.
- Contribuer à l’expansion des activités de recherche, d’éducation et d’innovation liées à la productivité des stocks marins et à leurs habitats.
- Développer des méthodes adaptatives de gestion de la pêche face aux changements climatiques et écosystémiques.
- Enseigner à l’université et sensibiliser le public à l’écologie des pêches.
Le poste requiert un leadership avéré en matière de recherche, incluant la planification et la coordination de projets à dimension nationale et internationale. Les résultats doivent être publiés dans des revues à comité de lecture et présentés lors de conférences internationales.

Salaire et Conditions d’Emploi

📝 Description du poste : Job Category: VIP AJob Description:DTU invites applications for a position as professor in ecosystem based management advice for fish stocks. The professorship is affiliated with the National Institute of Aquatic Resources (DTU Aqua), Section for Ecosystem based Marine Management. Workplace is in Kgs. Lyngby at the main campus of DTU, but with activities at other locations of the Institute and international expert groups.The professor is expected to take national and international leadership in adaptive and sustainable ecosystem-based modelling and advice for management of fished stocks. The work includes analyses of the effects of climate change, habitats and recovery, dynamics and distribution of stocks, interactions between species (such as prey and predators), recreational and commercial fisheries, and the integration of data and knowledge collected through citizen science, from stakeholders, scientific studies and data collection.Responsibilities and qualifications
The professor is expected to lead the research area ecosystem based management advice for fish stocks at DTU Aqua and shall actively contribute to ensuring and expanding the department’s activities within research, education, consultancy, stakeholder involvement and innovation in relation to 1) productivity and spatial distribution of marine fish stocks, their habitats and interactions with other species under future climate conditions and restoration measures, 2) development of qualitative and quantitative methods for integrating knowledge from stakeholders and scientific sources, 3) development of adaptive fisheries management methods that accommodate climate, ecosystem changes and management nationally and internationally through, for example, the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES), and 4) university teaching, lifelong learning and public awareness of fisheries ecology, modelling and management under future climate, productivity, habitat and fisheries changes.The professor is expected to coordinate work in the following topics:
- Productivity and temporal dynamics of fish stocks including modelling of their productivity and response to climate, population density, prey availability, species interactions, habitats and recreational and commercial fishing
- Distribution of marine fish stocks and their habitats with a focus on mapping fish stocks and habitats considering the factors described above.
- Integration of data, knowledge and priorities from stakeholders and scientific fora such as anecdotal knowledge, documented knowledge from non-scientific sources, citizen science data and knowledge about political and societal priorities. Integrating these provides research with social credibility while ensuring that the models and management measures developed are relevant and operational.
- Development of advice and management strategies adapted to future variations in fish productivity, climate change and management and conservation landscapes including design, application and dissemination of methods, models and results
The Professor is expected to work across different sections and research areas at DTU Aqua, the university and national and international collaboration partners. This includes international collaborations and commitment to the development of ecosystem-based fisheries management approaches under future climate and habitat changes.The position requires a track record in research leadership, including strategic development, planning, funding, implementing and coordinating national and international research initiatives within the research field.Results should be disseminated in peer-reviewed publications and international conferences as well as dedicated outlets aiming to inform national managers and stakeholders, i.e. the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and organisations representing recreational and professional fishers, and international advisory and management authorities, e.g. the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) and the EU Commission.The professor is expected to take a leading role in teaching at university level. The educations of DTU Aqua relevant to the professorship include the MSc in Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture, taught at DTU’s campus in Hirtshals, the MSc in Ocean Engineering (oceanography), life-long learning courses as well as supervision of PhD candidates, training of Postdocs and mentoring tenure-track early career scientists.DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English.
