Mission du Poste
Dans le cadre de votre rôle de QA Engineering Manager, vous aurez la responsabilité de diriger une équipe de talents engagés dans une mission essentielle : *améliorer l’expérience utilisateur* au sein d’un écosystème de dispositifs Axon interconnectés. Les défis de sécurité étant de plus en plus pressants, l’intégration de nouveaux services à ces dispositifs est cruciale. Vous participerez activement à la planification, à l’estimation et à la priorisation des activités de test pour garantir l’excellence des produits existants.
Responsabilités Principales
- Propriété: Vous serez chargé(e) d’assurer l’excellence technique et opérationnelle des produits au sein de votre équipe.
- Planification: Vous définirez la stratégie de test globale des produits, en collaboration avec les leaders en Product et Engineering.
- Charge de travail: Vous faciliterez la répartition des ressources entre différentes équipes, pour maximiser l’efficacité opérationnelle.
- Excellence Opérationnelle: Vous analyserez proactivement les problèmes de production et mettrez à jour les plans de test pour prévenir les défaillances.
- Croissance professionnelle: Vous accompagnerez vos collaborateurs dans leur développement de carrière, en tenant compte de leurs aspirations individuelles.
- Recrutement: Vous aurez la responsabilité principale de pourvoir les postes vacants au sein de votre équipe, en collaboration avec l’équipe de recrutement.
Compétences et Expérience Requises
- Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en tests logiciels, avec une gestion de projets complexes.
- Capacité démontrée à gérer des équipes vers un objectif commun.
- Expérience dans la constitution d’une équipe QA et de processus associés.
- Compétences en entretien et en mentorat d’ingénieurs.
- Connaissance des processus de test, des outils de gestion de tests et des outils d’automatisation.
- Expérience pratique en solutions d’automatisation, notamment UI, API, et tests de performance.
- Connaissances des environnements Unix/Linux et des outils CI/CD.
- Compétences en communication en anglais, nécessaires pour collaborer avec des bureaux internationaux.
- Une expérience en tests de dispositifs est un atout.

- Ownership: You own the engineering processes, quality, and operational excellence of the products under your team’s purview.
- Planning – You are responsible for the overall test strategy for your products. You make sure your team works closely with the Product and Engineering leaders to understand requirements, and deliverables and you own developing an end-to-end test strategy that includes manual and automated tests in different environments.
- Load balancing: You have a unique view across Squads and can help with load-balancing people. One Squad may be building a new product while another may be in maintenance mode. Help facilitate getting people where they will be the most useful.
- Operational Excellence – You are responsible for improving processes that help your team catch issues before they reach production. You are proactive in analyzing production issues and updating the test plans and strategies in order to find those issues in advance.
- Career Growth – You are key to helping your employees get to the next levels of their careers. Each person is different and while we will have general guidance for expectations of different roles, it shouldn’t be looked at as a set of checkboxes or how to get to the next title. It’s quite possible people want to get experience opportunities outside of their normal roles. Know what they are interested in so you can keep an eye out for good opportunities.
- Hiring – If you have openings on your team, you own filling those positions. The recruiting team is your partner to help, but the ultimate responsibility is for the hiring manager. Recruiting will often have different priorities. This will typically be your #1 priority.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of professional software testing experience managing complex software projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams of people towards a common goal.
- Experience building QA team & process from scratch
- Experience interviewing candidates as well as mentoring engineers and growing their careers.
- Experience in software testing across a wide variety of applications and infrastructure components, QA processes, test management and automated testing tools
- Hand on experience with automation solutions in multiple fields like UI, API and Performance testing such as Selenium, Karate, or Gatling
- Experience with CI/CD like Teamcity, Jenkins and source code repositories (i.e. Git)
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
- Effective communication skills in English to be able to work across multiple international offices.
- Experience in devices testing is a plus
