Description du poste : Job Description Summary The Record to Report (R2R) Lead is a leadership position responsible of statutory and tax compliance for divisions in scope including being the Certified Accountant and a point of contact in-country, responsible for statutory financial statements preparation, interacting and involving internal and external stakeholders and responsible for tax requirements and providing support to NOCC during month-end reporting.This role is also responsible for reporting review / reconciliations and liaison with internal and external auditors and Financial Controls and Compliance.Job DescriptionMajor accountabilities:
- Lead record to report process team in Portugal while cultivating and retaining talent
- Primary point of contact for record to report statutory and tax matters including tax inspections or internal audits
- Support and coordinate month-end closing process, significant contracts reviews, and delivery of service with no disruptions / issues with NOCC and local teams
- Act as interface for local stakeholders to NOCC teams
- Ensures timely completion of local statutory requirements
- YE Statutory Financial Statements preparation and full alignment with External Auditors, interacting and involving internal and external stakeholders. Active management over meetings planning to share a clear overview of the differences between NAM and Stat YE positions with relevant internal stakeholders. Ensures Tax compliance for divisions in scope (Direct, Indirect and others such as Transfer Prices files, DAC6, CbC report) and manages any needed communication with Tax Authorities (namely stock destructions communication, inspection processes, fiscal fines management, formal claim presentation aiming for fiscal justice)
- Foster fiscal awareness by sharing any relevant fiscal changes updates with impact for divisions in scope
- Ensures adherence to the NFCM (act as control owner) and coordination of remediation activities as identified through internal or external reviews
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior finance colleagues, both internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Division and Group FRA, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders as questions or issues arise
- Ensure all processes, procedures and policies are clearly defined, fully documented and in line with Novartis global standards
- Cultivate strong control environment, follow up on audit issues, and implement correcting measures
- Lead/ Drive local initiatives to drive process efficiencies, optimization and cost savings
