Description du poste : Our client, a well-established player in the mining industry, is looking for a skilled and experienced Reliability Engineer to drive equipment performance, safety, and continuous improvement across critical assets. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact within a high-performing technical team.Minimum Requirements
- Qualification: National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NQF6); Degree preferred (NQF7)
- Experience: 3–5 years in mechanical maintenance, reliability, and diagnostics within plant and heavy mobile equipment environments
- Valid South African Driver’s Licens
Key Responsibilities:
Safety, Health & Environment
- Champion a zero-harm safety culture and lead by example.
- Identify and mitigate risks in your area of responsibility.
- Ensure SHE requirements are integrated into maintenance strategies and statutory compliance is met.
Reliability & Asset Management
- Develop and implement reliability models (RAMS).
- Refine asset tactics and lifecycle cost models.
- Lead initiatives to improve equipment availability and reduce downtime.
- Manage CAPEX/OPEX inputs and contribute to shutdown service strategies.
Operational Readiness & Continuous Improvement
- Support commissioning and readiness of new assets.
- Conduct RCA investigations and own the defect elimination process.
- Analyse reliability KPIs and drive performance improvements.
Technical Management
- Oversee asset health monitoring and configuration management.
- Lead spares management (including rotable and critical spares).
- Support engineering changes and quality assurance protocols.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior engineers and support planning teams.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors, consultants, and OEMs.
- Actively participate in Communities of Practice (CoP).
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong technical and analytical skills in asset management and diagnostics
- Proficient in SAP and lifecycle costing tools
- Influential team player with excellent coaching, mentoring, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of SHEQ standards and statutory compliance
