Le stage proposé par l’Office des Nations Unies contre la drogue et le crime (UNODC) à Brasília est une occasion unique pour les étudiants ou jeunes diplômés désireux de contribuer à des initiatives mondiales en matière de criminalité transnationale, de drogue et de corruption. La date de début envisagée est le 11 août 2025, et le stage est non rémunéré, avec un engagement de 20 heures par semaine.
Contexte et Missions
L’UNODC joue un rôle crucial dans l’application des conventions internationales sur le contrôle des drogues et la lutte contre le crime organisé. Son action en faveur du Brésil s’inscrit dans un cadre normatif qui se décline en cinq axes principaux :
- Renforcement des capacités des États face aux menaces de la criminalité organisée.
- Lutte contre la corruption et ses effets sur les sociétés.
- Prévention de la criminalité et amélioration des systèmes judiciaires.
- Approche équilibrée concernant le problème mondial de la drogue.
- Lutte contre le terrorisme.
Le candidat retenu assumerait diverses responsabilités, notamment :
- Préparation de présentations pour des réunions,
- Gestion des tâches et des délais au sein de l’équipe,
- Traduction de documents entre le portugais et l’anglais,
- Rédaction de rapports énonçant les activités de l’Office en Brésil,
- Organisation d’événements et gestion de l’agenda de l’équipe.
Compétences et Qualifications
Exigences :
Les candidats doivent répondre à l’un des critères suivants :
- Être inscrit dans un programme de deuxième cycle ou avoir récemment complété un diplôme équivalent.
- Être inscrit au dernier année d’un premier cycle universitaire (minimum équivalent au baccalauréat).
Les compétences requises incluent :
- Maîtrise des applications informatiques standards,
- Intérêt marqué pour l’action des Nations Unies et engagement aux idéaux de la Charte,
- Capacité à interagir avec des personnes de divers milieux culturels.
Une expérience préalable dans des organisations internationales ou gouvernementales est souhaitable mais non exigée.
Langues
La maîtrise du portugais et de l’anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, est requise. La connaissance de l’espagnol constitue un avantage supplémentaire.
Informations Supplémentaires
Les stagiaires ne reçoivent aucune compensation financière. Ils doivent prendre en charge leurs frais de déplacement, de visas, d’hébergement et de vie. Les candidats non citoyens ou résidents permanents du pays d’accueil devront s’assurer de disposer des visas nécessaires.
Il est important de noter que l’Organisation des Nations Unies ne demande jamais de frais à aucune étape du processus de recrutement, protégeant ainsi l’intégrité de ses procédures.

📝 Description du poste : Envisaged starting date is 11 August 2025 The internship is UNPAID and interns work five days per week (part-time – 20 hours). The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) implements measures that reflect the three international drug control conventions and the conventions against transnational organized crime and corruption. UNODC’s work is based on five normative areas of activity: (i) strengthening the capacities of Member States to address the threats of transnational organized crime; (ii) combating corruption and its impact on societies; (iii) strengthening crime prevention and building effective criminal justice systems; (iv) supporting Member States in implementing a balanced, comprehensive and evidence-based approach to the global drug problem, addressing both supply and demand; (v) Combating terrorism. Since 1991, UNODC has been working in Brazil with the aim of supporting the Brazilian Government in fulfilling the obligations assumed upon ratifying the conventions and related multilateral instruments. Brazil has ratified the UN Convention against Organized Crime, its three Protocols (against Trafficking of Human Beings, against the Smuggling of Migrants and against Trafficking of Arms) and the UN Convention on Corruption. https://www.unodc.org/cofrb/pt/index.html The Representation area is responsible for overall coordination and operational functioning of the Office. This includes supporting strategic planning, monitoring the implementation of activities, managing internal workflows, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and policies. The selected candidate for the Representation Intern position will work close in collaboration with the Representation Team at UNODC Brazil providing administrative support for the following activities: • Prepare slide presentations and similar presentations for meetings and discussions with staff and partners; • Oversee the distribution and monitoring of tasks and deadlines assigned to colleagues and coordinators by the Office Director; • Support the communication team in the revision and updating of the office’s list of projects and portfolios; • Translate documents between Portuguese and English; • Assist in the writing and completion of reports on the activities of the Office in Brazil; • Assist in managing the agenda of the Representation team in Brazil, as well as daily operational activities; • Assist in organizing files related to the Office’s management activities; • Assist in organizing meetings and events, as well as participating in them when necessary; • Monitor emails, calendar events, and update spreadsheets on a daily basis; • Create spreadsheets and support the development of data tracking tools as needed; • Draft the Office’s weekly agenda and contribute to its dissemination; • Conduct bibliographic, biographical, and documentary research to support ongoing activities; • Draft a variety of documents, including notes, summaries, and other written materials as requested. • Other similar demands, as requested by the supervisor.Qualifications/special skills
- Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). • Be computer literate in standard software applications; • Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and • Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D.
