- Championing the perspective of the shopper in the organization, working with insight professionals to plan, develop and fund research programs and data required to build shopper and retail environment expertise, and ensuring all learning is leveraged fully in development of brand, RE and customer strategy.
- Optimizing the 5Ps in each retail environment by working with insight professionals to design specific research methodology.
Channel Strategy & Management:
- Coordinating the development of a Go to Market Strategy which ensures we optimize distribution and coverage in each retail environment at the lowest possible cost.
- Leading the development of a RE strategy which prioritizes resource and seeks to exploit incremental sales growth opportunities in both new and existing retail environments.
- Creating and supporting deployment of a Terms and Conditions framework which is based on simple, transparent and pay for performance principles, and ensuring fair and equitable resource allocation between REs and customers.
5P Definition, Deployment and Optimization:
- Leading the multi-functional Commercial Process in development of Category Plans which execute brand and RE strategies and deliver strategic plan and budget goals for all priority categories and retail environments.
- Coordinating planning and execution of RE and customer activities and communicating plans to Customer and Store Management on time and accurately.
- Optimizing the performance of the Category Plans within the Business Planning Process by assessing all Commercial Process steps from the perspective of the shopper and retail environment, and developing recommendations to modify channel and customer plans, thus ensuring Colgate is driving consumption off the shelf cost effectively and brand objectives are achieved within channel and customer P&L guidelines.
- Conducting pre-/post analyses of channel promotions, developing a library of performance history, and adjusting business plans based on results to drive improved return on investment for all types of trade / consumer spending.
- Anticipating, benchmarking, and proactively responding to competitive moves and tactics in each category, RE and customer.
- Acting as point for new product introductions and working with Consumer Marketing to build « go to market » plans for each initiative, identifying new product KPIs and specific plans to protect base business by retail environment.
- Developing practical and relevant presentations and tools for Customer Management to use to support base business (e.g. product catalogues) as well as new products and re-launches.
- Ensuring Customer and Store Management are supplied with relevant, value-added and easy to use RE and category expertise, guidelines and materials for management and execution of 5P strategies/tactics in-store
- Supporting the establishment of processes and systems which drive integrated customer and demand planning, and working with the supply chain to ensure product availability and effective customer service
Requirements:
- University degree in Economics, Marketing, Management
- 4+ Years in FMCG
- 4+ Years of Functional Experience
- Experience in sales or key account management is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills
- English – upper-intermediate level
- Advanced PC skills. Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power Point
- Ability to maintain complex applications and analytical programs, organize data and create reports from various sources
