We are now looking for a school coach who is ready to support the growth and development of students in basic education. If you have the heart and skills to promote student well-being, you might be the person we are looking for!The International School of Vantaa is a multicultural comprehensive school with around 660 students. The school provides English-language instruction for grades 1 – 9. The students’ home language is English or they have acquired a good English proficiency by other means. The students are admitted to the school based on a language test. The teachers employed at our school come from various nationalities. Our curricula are based on the National Core Curriculum for Basic Education. Our goal is to raise well-behaving students with versatile general knowledge who can function in English in a global environment.Your responsibilities will include:

• Promoting the well-being, inclusion, school motivation, comfort, sense of safety, social growth, and school engagement of students in basic education.
• Preventing student exclusion and guiding them to take responsibility for their schoolwork. Supporting students in developing life management skills in cooperation with guardians.
• Working closely in a multi-professional team with teaching staff, student welfare staff, and other professionals. Participating in the planning and implementation of communal student welfare.
• Visiting classrooms and taking part in meetings between the student and their support network.
• Supporting students in their daily lives and studies; planning, implementing, and evaluating activities.
• Resolving conflicts between students and supporting school mediation activities, as well as practicing emotional and social interaction skills.

• Experience in supporting student well-being and learning, as well as in community-based well-being work.
• Good listening, interpersonal, and guidance skills.
• An independent working style, excellent communication and cooperation skills, and knowledge of basic education.
• The ability to work in teams and networks.
• Flexibility in changing situations.
• Experience in multi-professional collaboration is considered an advantage.
