We’re building a lean, expert team across finance and tech-and we’re just getting started.We’re seeking a mid-career Accountant to join our Lisbon office. This is a hands-on role with global scope, working directly with the CFO and external accounting partners in multiple countries.Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and manage accounting frameworks across multiple legal entities, starting in Portugal and expanding globally
• Ensure full compliance with Portuguese accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Collaborate with external accountants and tax advisors across jurisdictions
• Handle day-to-day finance operations (AP/AR, reconciliations, closings)
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAP
• Work closely with local Portuguese stakeholders, including auditors and regulators
• Support tax filings and investor reporting
• Travel internationally up to 10-20% of the time

Qualifications & Profile:

• Certified Accountant
• 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience in Portugal and ideally across multiple jurisdictions
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (mandatory)
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and solid grasp of Portuguese GAAP and reporting practices
• Experience liaising with accounting firms, auditors, and tax authorities
• Strong attention to detail, hands-on mindset, and comfort with ambiguity
• Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth, and entrepreneurial environments
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems is a plus
