At Block Labs, we’re passionate about turning bold ideas into breakthrough success.About The RoleAs a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and build scalable, high-performance backend services for our growing portfolio of applications. You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams to develop robust APIs and infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using NestJS.

• Develop and maintain APIs, optimized for scalability and performance.

• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end features.

• Optimize database queries and caching strategies for high-throughput systems.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Contribute to the evolution of internal architecture and development standards.

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

About You:

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

• 3+ years working with NestJS or similar frameworks.

• Experience integrating with third-party platforms and APIs.

• Strong understanding of API design, scalability, and performance optimization.

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and cloud providers.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment.

• Bonus: Experience with blockchain technologies is a plus, but not required.
