Description du poste : Ce rôle essentiel requiert un statut d’ancien conseiller juridique chargé de fournir des conseils juridiques, des analyses et une représentation, en soutien à la mission du Département juridique de JHAH. Principales responsabilités

Le Senior Counsel aura les missions suivantes sous la supervision du Conseiller général :

  • Analyse Juridique : Examiner les lois et les faits pertinents aux problèmes juridiques, tout en préparant les documents légaux nécessaires.
  • Rédaction de Documents : Produire des mémorandums, contrats et manuels pour approbation par le Conseiller général.
  • Négociations : Superviser et participer aux négociations avec diverses parties prenantes.
  • Formation : Organiser des sessions pour informer les employés sur les responsabilités légales et le cadre juridique.
  • Préparation de Procès : Assister dans la préparation pour des instances judiciaires, y compris la collecte de preuves et l’interrogation de témoins.
  • Coordination : Collaborer avec des avocats externes et d’autres organismes pour assurer un soutien légal adéquat.

Qualifications requises

Éducation : Selon l’origine du candidat, différentes diplômes sont acceptés :

  • Pour les ressortissants saoudiens : Diplôme d’une faculté de droit ou équivalent reconnu par le Ministère de la Justice.
  • Pour les autres candidats : Juris Doctor (JD) ou Bachelor of Laws (LLB) d’institutions accréditées.

Expérience : Le candidat doit justifier d’au moins sept ans d’expérience dans un environnement juridique, que ce soit au sein d’une entreprise, d’un cabinet d’avocats ou d’un organisme gouvernemental.

Compétences et exigences supplémentaires

  • Certification : Licences valides pour exercer la profession d’avocat, en accord avec les normes juridiques saoudiennes.
  • Compétence légale : Capacité à faire preuve de jugement autonome dans divers dossiers.

📝 Description du poste : Job Code30000771Basic FunctionTo provide legal counsel, advice and representation in support of the Law Department’s discharge of its overall responsibilities in respect of JHAH’s legal, compliance and related affairs.ScopeThe Senior Counsel works on assigned matters and functional areas under the supervision and direction of the General Counsel and his or her delegate(s), and has responsibility for rendering sound, timely and relevant legal opinion, analysis and other legal support in the matters and areas so assigned. The Senior Counsel supervises or assists in supervising the work of more junior Department lawyers, support personnel and other team members, but has not been vested with responsibility for managing their performance, careers or professional development.Principal Contacts

  • Daily contact with Law Department lawyers and support personnel.
  • Ongoing contact with JHAH executives, physicians, clinicians, administrators, managers and staff as needed and appropriate within assigned responsibilities.
  • Frequent contact with representatives of outside legal counsel, governments, courts and tribunals, shareholders, vendors and suppliers, and other members or representatives of the legal, business and patient communities with whom JHAH engages directly in regulatory, judicial, business and operational matters.
  • Occasional public and community contact through communication of policy announcements and revisions, conduct of active legal matters, participation in professional organizations and programs, and similar activity.

Principal DutiesUnder the supervision and direction of the General Counsel and his or her delegate(s):

  • Conducts and assists the General Counsel and other Law Department members in marshalling and examining laws and facts pertinent to legal problems, in preparing legal documents, and in advising and maintaining liaison with management and JHAH’s operating organizations.
  • Prepares for approval by the General Counsel and his or her delegate(s) written opinions and memoranda of law, contracts and agreements, guidance manuals or papers, and other documents and instruments pertaining to matters within the purview of the Law Department.
  • Conducts, supervises, supports and assists in negotiation and communication with representatives of counterparties, stakeholders, and others in the ordinary course of the Law Department’s representation of JHAH.
  • Conducts, supervises, supports and assists in the development and conduct of meetings, presentations, briefings, training sessions and similar opportunities to disseminate to JHAH personnel the knowledge and understanding needed to discharge their responsibilities in a manner that protects and advances JHAH’s legal interests.
  • Conducts, supervises, supports and assists in preparing or supervising the preparation of applications, submissions, briefs, filings and other materials, and in preparations for trials, hearings, appeals and arguments, before tribunals, government agencies and regulatory bodies, courts and quasi-judicial or investigatory bodies, including the gathering of facts and interviews or interrogation of witnesses, as needed or appropriate in the ordinary course of the Law Department’s representation of JHAH.
  • Coordinates and supervises the work of outside legal counsel, external vendors and others who have been engaged to support the Law Department in the conduct of its functions.
  • Participates in activities of professional and technical legal societies.

EducationFor Saudi Arabia nationals deemed by the General Counsel to be sourced in Saudi Arabia:

  • Degree from a Shari’ah college or
  • Bachelor of law from one of the Kingdom’s universities or
  • An equivalent of any of these degrees obtained from abroad (recognized as equivalent by the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Justice for purposes of licensure), or
  • A post-graduate diploma of legal studies from the Institute of Public Administration.

For all other candidates:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) (US System), or
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Commonwealth system), or
  • The equivalent from one or more internationally recognized, accredited educational institutions satisfying the educational requirements for admission to the bar or qualification for a practicing certificate in a jurisdiction approved for this purpose by the General Counsel.

ExperienceNo less than seven years’ diversified, post-qualification practice and experience in providing legal counsel to clients in a company, law firm, government or private consultancy environment.Certifications/Other requirements as applicable1. Certification:

  • For Saudi Arabia nationals deemed by the General Counsel to be sourced in Saudi Arabia: Registered and licensed to practice law by authority of the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Justice.
  • For all other candidates: Licensed and qualified to act as an attorney-at-law, solicitor, barrister or its local equivalent in a jurisdiction approved for this purpose by the General Counsel.
