Our ambition for our ASB People is to have ‘a place where our people thrive and grow to progress.’Mo te tūranga | About the Role:As a Senior Manager, you will Lead the Sanctions analytics and reporting function and specialist team to ensure the successful development and optimisation of Sanctions screening processes, this includes extraction, manipulation and interpretation of large data sets to support Sanctions related data and analytics requests.You will proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders, CBA representatives, and third-party vendors to understand and deliver strategic Sanctions screening solutions into ASB.Maintaining effective relations with the Financial Crime Platform and adjacent Analytics teams. Implement and operate effective controls relating to rule design, implementation and governance. Lead elements of ASB’s Sanctions Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment.Ō pūkenga | About you:

  • Financial Crime and/or Fraud knowledge is essential
  • Demonstrated advanced experience in data analytics (statistical modelling experience is required)
  • Previous SQL and SAS experience and use of other tools to extract and analyse complex data sets from a range of data sources
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a successful team and drive positive behavioural changes at an organisational level.
  • Previous project and change management experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence to engage with senior leaders and explain complex technical information to non-subject matter experts
  • An analytical and investigative approach to problem solving
  • Strong continuous improvement mind-set
  • Tertiary qualification in Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, Finance or similar preferred
