Description du poste : Role OverviewReporting to the MEP Design Director, we seek an ambitious individual to join our mechanical design team. You’ll be entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, and responsible for both strategic and tactical aspects of mechanical design. Collaborating with internal teams, you will deliver safe, sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions from concept through commissioning, including detailed Digital Records and Operational BIM.You will:Lead mechanical design for Built to Suit (BTS) projects and modifications to Apto’s Reference DesignOwn the mechanical components of Apto’s Basis of Design (BOD), focusing on energy efficiency and sustainabilityManage external mechanical design consultants and OFCI vendorsCollaborate with Preconstruction and Commercial Directors to align designs with schedule and budgetBasic QualificationsBachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field5/6+ years in industrial/commercial mechanical design, with strong data centre experienceExpertise in mechanical systems: air handling, fluid distribution, heat exchange, refrigeration, fire protection, fuel systemsDeep knowledge of pumps, fans, heat exchangers, sensors, BAS/BMS, and water treatmentProven ability to manage design and OFCI vendors throughout project life cycleSkilled in construction techniques and interpreting drawingsCapable of managing multiple mission-critical projects and collaborating with clientsPreferred Qualifications5 + years with major data centre providers/end-users across European metrosExperience leading engineering teams in large data centre environmentsExpertise in water systems design and value engineering during preconstructionUnderstanding of electrical systems designStrong record in producing high-quality documentation for standards and proceduresLocation
Dublin-based, with approximately 30% travel across Europe
