The company’s brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino®, C&H®, Redpath®, Tate & Lyle®, Lyle’s® and Sidul®.POSITION SCOPE:To carry out routine analysis and provide analytical data to customers and process personnel in a safe manner and in compliance with the quality management system. To confirm compliance with specifications and/or targets.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To run the laboratory shift routine ensuring the required safety, environmental, quality and hygiene standards are met.
  • To provide timely QC/QA analysis and technical advice to an appropriate accuracy level.
  • To not knowingly allow product which fails to achieve specification to be produced (or continue to be produced), without such awareness being communicated to a higher authority.
  • To work as a team with other operators and laboratory staff to provide mobile, flexible and committed workforce. Assist field operators in basic queries on QC analysis conducted by the field operators.
  • To input the data obtained accurately on to SAP/SharePoint intranet site as appropriate.
  • To perform routine basic instrument maintenance and cleaning.
  • To maintain the working area in a clean and tidy state.
  • Ensuring the calibration of shift work laboratory instruments on a daily basis.
  • Comply with all the standards, policies and requirements of Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense to guarantee the production of products with Quality, Food Safety and Authenticity.
  • Promoting the Culture of Quality, Food Safety, Occupational Safety, Environment and Sustainability, ensuring compliance with product and process requirements.

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES):

  • Good numeric and literacy skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to prioritize workload
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate data leading to decision making.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES:

  • Experience of working according to the requirements of International Standards
  • Basic knowledge of food manufacturing processes
  • Practical Laboratory experience

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical course in Chemistry is preferential.
