Fonctions et Responsabilités
Le Communications Officer jouera un rôle clé dans la formulation et la mise en œuvre de la stratégie de communication d’EDYN. Ses responsabilités incluront la gestion de divers canaux numériques, parmi lesquels :
- Réseaux Sociaux : Gestion des comptes sur Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter et MailChimp.
- Amélioration continue : S’assurer que tous les supports reflètent les meilleures pratiques du secteur, en se basant sur des analyses de données et des retours d’audience.
- Création de contenu : Préparation ou externalisation de supports graphiques via des outils comme Canva.
- Collaboration : Travailler étroitement avec le Directeur Exécutif d’EDYN et les membres du comité de communication afin d’offrir une expérience de qualité aux audiences internationales.
Exigences du Poste
Le candidat idéal possédera :
- Une formation appropriée (éducation secondaire, études supérieures, ou expérience équivalente).
- Une maîtrise de l’anglais à un niveau avancé (C1).
- Un minimum de deux années d’expérience dans la gestion de réseaux sociaux et des plateformes numériques.
- Des compétences en rédaction et en communication verbale et écrite.
Compétences Personnelles :
– Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante et à gérer plusieurs tâches dans des délais serrés.
– Sens de l’analyse pour identifier les problèmes et proposer des solutions créatives.
– Compétence technique dans l’utilisation de logiciels de conception graphique et de montage vidéo (comme Canva ou CapCut) est un plus.

L’European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) est une coalition réunissant des leaders politiques et civiques, engagée à promouvoir une nouvelle génération de défenseurs de la démocratie. EDYN appuie les jeunes activistes et journalistes pro-démocratie de 18 à 32 ans dans 23 pays européens ayant un héritage totalitaire.
Créée en 2018, EDYN est soutenue par le National Democratic Institute (NDI) et l’International Republican Institute (IRI), avec un financement de l’USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development). Le réseau compte actuellement plus de 550 membres, dirigé par le Conseil de Leadership d’EDYN.

Job description, responsibilities and dutiesThe Communications Officer will shape and execute the communication strategy for EDYN, including, but not limited to a website, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube, Twitter, and MailChimp accounts. S/he will ensure that these platforms reflect industry best practices and are continuously improved based on data analytics and audience feedback. The Officer will be also tasked with the preparation (or outsourcing) of basic graphic materials, e.g. in Canva.This position reports to the EDYN Executive Director and will work closely with EDYN Country Contact Members and chair the EDYN Communications Committee to ensure EDYN delivers a first-class experience to our digital audiences internationally.
EDYN Communications Officer should present ability to maintain the internal communication channels by updating the databases, administering the accounts and email lists.Requirements for the employee

· No formal education is required. Undergraduate degree in communications, political/social science, international relations, or a related field from a decent university is a plus.
· Proven experience managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube, Twitter)
· Proven experience managing a website, and/or other marketing platforms for the purpose of supporting internal and external institutional communications.
· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
· Proven experience in copywriting and/or creative writing.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English .
· Ability to distinguish between Slovakia and Slovenia, i.e. basic geopolitical acumen.
· Ability to exercise judgment on the quality and messaging of external content.
· Ability to work independently, multi-task, be persistent and work under tight deadlines.
· Experience in identifying complex problems and developing creative solutions.
· Willingness to learn and proven ability to stay up to date with the newest trends in digital and social media marketing.
. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and ensure their requests are met
· Competence in using graphic design and video editing software (such as Canva or CapCut) is a plus.
· Competence in media relations and ability to draft press releases are a plus.Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram, adapting content to suit different channels.
· Build and manage social media profiles and presence while maintaining brand consistency across platforms.
· Co-design, co-develop, and manage communication campaigns that promote organization’s mission and the brand.
· Create engaging multimedia content (and/or outsource this effectively) across multiple platforms.
· Assure consistency, coordination, and alignment on messaging across 23 EDYN countries through working with EDYN Country Contact Members and EDYN Leadership Council.
· Lead day-to-day management edyn.eu. Lead content governance of edyn.eu while working proactively with EDYN members to ensure that key marketing and programmatic content is consistently refreshed, updated and available.
· Ensure that EDYN’s digital platforms are seamlessly integrated into events, digital campaigns, publication launches, and other high-visibility initiatives.
· Drive internal communications in the network to foster member engagement and cooperation (standing meetings, newsletter, closed social media groups, etc.).
· Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques to find new and better ways to deliver our message in the digital world.
