  • Architecture: You are responsible for improving and refactoring our test architecture at the subsystem level to ensure the release of highly tested software versions for various products on a daily basis from our mainline. This includes compliance with all regulatory documentation and requirements.
  • Strategy: You own the test strategy in close alignment with the development team, ensuring a robust and future-proof test environment.
  • Quality Assurance: You drive improvements in test quality standards, including test code structure, coverage, and performance.
  • To achieve this, you will actively participate in the review of all parts of our software development process to establish and maintain a sustainable, scalable, and high-performance test pipeline.
  • Requirement Engineering: In collaboration with the software architects, product owners, and developers, you define sustainable testing requirements, focusing on reusability, coverage, and automated documentation.
  • Test Scenarios: Based on your expertise, you define test scenarios aligned with our workflows, ensuring optimized trunk-based development. Your goal is to establish a test architecture that enables nightly software releases from our platform.

Your Qualifications and Experience:

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have experience in hardware-related software testing, including an understanding of HW/SW interfaces and test routines.
  • You have expertise in test-driven development (TDD), requirement engineering, and CI/CD processes.
  • You have extensive experience in test architecture (certifications or training as a test architect would be desirable).
  • You have experience in testing complex software systems in a hardware environment.
  • You have strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • You are familiar with agile development and working in agile teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills on a technical level, helping the team set up the test infrastructure for future trunk-based platform development.
  • Strategic thinking and planning distinguish you and allow you to shape the future of our testing environment.
  • You actively promote an open and collaborative work culture within agile teams, fostering an environment of trust and mutual respect.
  • You work in an international team and therefore have business-fluent English skills. German language is welcome.
