Description du poste : Are you a methodical, results-driven Software Tester ready to join a high-performance team in the financial services industry? A leading company is on the hunt for a Software Tester with strong SQL coding ability and solid IT testing experience. This role is based in Johannesburg, offering you flexibility and the opportunity to be at the heart of a collaborative and driven environment.
You’ll play a key role in developing and executing software test plans, identifying bugs and their causes, and contributing to the software development lifecycle from a quality assurance perspective. If you’re analytical, detail-oriented, and thrive on getting things right the first time, then this is the role for you.Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• IT-related certificate
• Diploma in any field of IT (advantageous)
• Microsoft SQL Certification
• ISTQB/SASTQB Certification

Requirements:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in an IT testing environment
• 3 – 5 years’ SQL coding experience
• Strong knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proficient in MS Office and Visio
• Experience with MS Project (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Excellent planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills

Key Performance Areas:

• Test Design & Development: Create test plans, scripts, and procedures; contribute to product design reviews; develop comprehensive testing programs
• Error Tracking: Identify and document software defects; maintain databases of known issues; communicate with developers for resolutions
• Test Execution: Execute test cases, prepare test schedules, ensure audit readiness, and conduct system demos
• User Support: Assist end users; manage change control; ensure smooth handovers and issue resolution
