Responsabilités Principales

Le candidat sélectionné intégrera l’une des deux équipes Scrum chargées de créer et de maintenir une plateforme de partage de génomes humains. Les missions incluent :

Développement de solutions logicielles sécurisées.
Collaboration avec des partenaires européens sur des projets tels que l’Infrastructure de Données Génomiques (GDI).
Prise en charge de l’ensemble du cycle de vie des applications, de la planification à la maintenance.
Renforcement de la sécurité applicative et systémique.
Opportunité de formation sur les meilleures pratiques en développement et logiciels pour divers intervenants.

Le cadre de travail implique des rencontres régulières pour le suivi des projets, combinées à des moments de convivialité tels que des pauses café et des déjeuners avec des collègues.

Exigences du Poste

Les candidats doivent posséder au minimum un diplôme de licence en technologie de l’information, informatique ou un domaine équivalent. De plus, les critères suivants sont requis :

Expérience d’au moins 3 ans en développement de systèmes ou en sécurité.
Connaissance en sécurité applicative ou système.
Maîtrise des technologies de virtualisation et des conteneurs d’applications (Docker).
Compétences en bases de données (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Expérience avec le système de contrôle de version Git.
Maîtrise de l’anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

Des qualités personnelles essentielles incluent la capacité à travailler en équipe, à prendre des initiatives et à posséder d’excellentes compétences interpersonnelles.

Qualifications Supplémentaires

Des compétences additionnelles, bien que non obligatoires, sont également souhaitées :

Expérience dans des équipes distribuées.
Connaissance en Golang et Kubernetes.
Certification CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist).
Compréhension approfondie des mécanismes d’authentification et d’autorisation.
Expérience dans la conception d’API RESTful.
Familiarité avec des technologies comme Terraform et Grafana.
Expérience en méthodologies agiles et utilisation de Zenhub.
Compréhension des systèmes d’infrastructure, idéalement dans le secteur public ou académique.
Connaissance en bioinformatique, notamment dans l’analyse de données génétiques humaines.

La position offerte est un emploi permanent à temps plein avec une possibilité de période d’essai. Le poste sera basé à Uppsala et le début d’emploi est prévu rapidement ou selon accord. We welcome you to apply for a position as a system developer at Uppsala University.National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden (NBIS) is a national research infrastructure with the purpose to provide support for bioinformatics and infrastructure to researchers in life sciences. The system development team consists of two Scrum teams that develop and implement tools for handling big data and web applications for research groups and EU-funded projects. You will be employed at Uppsala University, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology (ICM) while also being affiliated with NBIS and Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab).NBIS is now looking for 1 systems developer. As a member of one of the teams, you will be able to make an impact through working on projects that focus on making research data secure and shareable. We develop software solutions for researchers in the bioinformatics field and are now looking for new systems developers with profound knowledge in security to join our agile team.Duties
You will be involved in developing, expanding and maintaining a sharing platform for human genomes from research projects, in collaboration with our partners in other European countries. The goal of these projects, such as the Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI) and the Bigpicture, is to facilitate data sharing among researchers.You will collaborate closely with other developers and contribute to the aforementioned projects. The team is responsible for the entire life cycle of the applications, from planning and development to deployment and maintenance. You will help out by enhancing the security of our systems and tools, either in terms of application security or system security.You will find yourself in a team that values creativity and allows you to influence the decisions made within the group. Furthermore, we value continuous learning and encourage you to allocate time for professional development on new tools and skills, through participation in relevant courses. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead courses on development and software best practices for researchers and industry participants.A typical day at NBIS will start with a stand-up meeting. Afterwards, you head downstairs to grab a coffee before joining the backlog refinement. Meetings are run digitally, and while some participants will be located next to you in the office, others will join from various locations of Sweden. After having lunch with other developers and bioinformaticians, you return to your office to focus on your code. You may end the day taking some time for fitness activity, at the campus gym or the nearby forest. Two times per year, you will have the opportunity to meet the personnel from all different sites at the NBIS retreat.Requirements
You should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in computer technology, computer science, systems science or possess documented equivalent competencies in one or more of these areas.The applicant shall furthermore have:

Minimum 3 years of documented experience in either system development or as a security specialist.
Working experience with either application security or system security.
Proficiency in virtualization technologies and application containers, such as Docker.
Experience with databases e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in the Git version control system.
Fluent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You should work well in teams, show initiative and possess strong interpersonal- and communication skills.Additional qualifications
The following are considered meritorious:

Accustomed to working in physically distributed teams.
Experience in Golang and Kubernetes.
Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
Deep understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
Experience with technologies such as Terraform, Helm, Grafana, Prometheus, Hashicorp Vault.
Experience in agile development according to SCRUM and project management tools like Zenhub.
Experience working on infrastructure systems, preferably in the public sector or academia.
Understanding of bioinformatics, specifically in analyzing human genetic data.
Familiarity with systems for sensitive data and/or processing of special categories of personal data.
