Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.What’s in it for you?As a Senior Maintenance Manager at the body shop, you will lead and manage our maintenance organization during our transformation journey.You will focus on strategic roadmap, continuous improvements, problem solving and act as a role model to develop our people. You shall love technology but above all, the technique of developing people.You will be part of our transformation journey in the car manufacturing industry and a member of the Body Shop management team, reporting directly to the Head of Body Shop VCT. This role provides unique insights into strategic and operational work, valuable for your development into more challenging roles.In this role, you will join a high-performing team, handle daily improvement opportunities, and lead the largest transformation at VCT. You will build team commitment, drive people and business development, reduce losses, and push operations towards lean transformation. Additionally, you will organize work and resources to effectively meet the company’s short, medium, and long-term goals.We are looking for a committed and confident leader passionate about people and lean. The right candidate has significant leadership experience, the ability to bring out the best in others, and excellent communication skills to create strong, trustful relationships.What you’ll doAs our Senior Maintenance Manager, you’re responsible for setting business targets for performance in line with Volvo’s vision and mission. This is done together with the Supervisors and teamleaders for the shop.You’re also responsible for coaching, support and challenge Supervisors by developing, maintaining and following up to improve the quality, as well as participating in strategic work to bring out new activities for the short- and long-term goals.What you’ll bringThe right candidate has a technical degree or equivalent work experience and technical knowledge, preferably within the area of maintenance. You have broad experience from manufacturing and/or quality within Volvo Cars or relevant industry.You must have strong leadership experience from development of functions, systems, attributes and components in automotive engineering. The position requires good oral and written communication skills in both English and Swedish.We do think you have experience as a leader and are looking to inspire leadership which has been shown through coaching skills. You are highly interested in individual development with the ambition to grow the employees’ mind-set and behaviour.
