CoinDesk – an award-winning media, events, indices and data business servicing the global crypto economy.Reports to: Head of Trading ProductWe are looking for a passionate Product Quality Assurance Associate to join the Trading Product team in Hong Kong.Bullish is uniquely positioned within digital asset management, with multiple regulatory approvals, a strong institutional customer base and ambitions to continue growing rapidly. We are seeking a driven and meticulous Quality Assurance Associate to join our product team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or business analyst roles, with a strong functional background in trading, derivatives, risk, and exchange products.You must be a highly motivated individual possessing a passion for quality and attention to detail, with expertise in developing comprehensive functional test packs. Additionally, you should have a keen interest in implementing automated testing across both UI and API platforms.We understand that you may not yet have the full depth of experience across the many verticals in trading but we expect you to have a broad knowledge that we can build upon. This role also offers a pathway to growth opportunities within the Product team.Role & Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases for UI and REST/FIX API functionalities across product deliverables.Be present throughout the entire product development lifecycle.Collaborate closely with product owners and the in-house quant team to conduct rigorous functional, regression, and integration testing, ensuring product quality as part of the F2B test cycle ahead of rollouts.Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies, providing clear and actionable feedback to the development team.Validate data integrity and accuracy across different systems and interfaces.Work with cross-functional teams, including developers and other stakeholders, to ensure a thorough understanding of product requirements and specifications.Recommend and actively use specialised tools and methodologies to simulate trading environments, particularly for leveraged trading products.Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to improve product quality and efficiency.Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in QA and financial technology.Other duties as assigned.Some travel may be required.Key Skills:Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Familiarity with trading platforms and exchange operations.Proficiency with JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools for issue tracking.Proficiency with tools such as Postman or REST Assured for API testing, and Selenium, Cypress, or similar for UI testing.Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python/Perl/JavaScript.Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and testing.Experience with VeriFIX, QuickFIX, or similar tools for FIX testing (good to have).Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Over 3 years of experience in quality assurance or business analyst roles, with a focus on trading systems or financial applications.Strong understanding of trading concepts and order lifecycle management.Proven expertise in testing REST/FIX APIs and UI components.Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is highly desirable.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.Bullish is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
