Aperçu du rôle
En tant que Team Leader de l’équipe de nuit, vous serez chargé d’accompagner votre équipe de 50 personnes dans la réalisation des objectifs de production quotidiens. Cette fonction exige une observation rigoureuse de la qualité, de la sécurité et du respect des normes de conformité.
Ce poste est un emploi temporaire, prévu jusqu’à la fin de la saison en octobre 2026. Les horaires de travail sont flexibles, allant de 13h30 à 2-3h du matin, du lundi au vendredi, avec la possibilité de réunions ou de formations plus tôt. Des heures supplémentaires peuvent être demandées le samedi.
Responsabilités clés
- Sécuriser la santé et la sécurité : Veillez à ce que les exigences légales soient respectées dans votre secteur.
- Organisation de la production : Collaborer avec le Group Leader pour établir des objectifs clairs.
- Amélioration continue : Animer les réunions nécessaires pour le développement constant de l’équipe.
- Formation des membres : Sensibiliser tous les membres aux exigences de sécurité alimentaire et aux attentes de qualité.

Compétences requises :
- Expérience : Leadership dans un environnement de production, idéalement dans l’industrie alimentaire.
- Confiance en soi : Capacité à diriger efficacement une équipe tout en favorisant un climat de travail positif.
- Résilience : Capacité à naviguer dans un environnement de travail exigeant et dynamique.
- Compétences en communication : Excellente maîtrise des outils informatiques et capacité à transmettre des informations de manière claire.

📝 Description du poste : Job Category: Production Managers and SupervisorsJob Description:Te Tūranga/About the RoleAs a Team Leader nightshift at our Waitotara site, you will be responsible for providing support to your team by helping them to meet their daily production requirements. You’ll also be observing and monitoring quality, safety and compliance.You’ll need previous team leadership experience, ideally in food manufacturing. This role is based in our secondary butchery/boning room, with approximately 50 people on nightshift. As part of a close-knit team of three, the nightshift leadership team operate sole-charge.Successful candidates must be flexible with work hours as we are a seasonal business. You’ll need to be available 1.30pm to 2-3am Monday to Friday (sometimes earlier for meetings or training). There is also the occasional Saturday 10am- 3pm.This is a fixed term position until the end of the upcoming season; October 2026.Te Mahi/Key Responsibilities:
- Look out for your team, ensure health and safety requirements are met
- Organize the daily production with the Group Leader and clearly communicate this
- Run startup and Continuous Improvement Meetings
- Communicate what food safety, quality and compliance requirements are specific to your team and actively observe the processing room to ensure these are always maintained
- Train and coach members of your team to understand specifications and what production targets mean and how they relate to the team member’s work

You will be driven to build a safe, quality focused and positive culture within your team. You will need to be confident with directing people, have a sense of humour and be resilient. You’ll also be keen to identify areas for improvement within the site and a desire to progress your career in the red meat industry.You will have:
- Experience leading and directing people – telling it like it is, making decisions
- Experience in the red meat industry or other food processing/manufacture
- Passion and experience with providing training opportunities to team members
- Computer literacy and strong communication skills are required
