Mission principale : Swiss Re recherche un leader technique senior pour piloter le développement de capacités opérationnelles de données, connues sous le nom de composants communs. En tant que Responsable Produit, vous collaborerez étroitement avec des parties prenantes seniors, des ingénieurs et des experts de domaine à travers toutes les unités commerciales.

Ce poste fait partie de l’organisation Group Data Services (GDS) sous la direction du Chief Data and Analytics Officer. L’équipe se compose d’ingénieurs et d’architectes de données engagés à réaliser le plein potentiel des données de Swiss Re. Avec l’utilisation de la plateforme « Stargate », qui repose sur Palantir Foundry, l’équipe gère un écosystème de données à grande échelle, facilitant des solutions d’intégration de données, des analyses avancées et des prises de décision automatisées.
Responsabilités clés
Propriété et Stratégie du Produit
Définir et piloter la vision, la feuille de route et le cycle de vie des composants communs, tels que la gestion des charges, la qualité des données et la gestion des métadonnées.
Collaboration Inter-Fonctionnelle
Travailler avec des architectes de données, des ingénieurs et des parties prenantes commerciales pour comprendre les besoins et prioriser les améliorations.
Leadership Technique
Contribuer à l’architecture et au développement de solutions évolutives en promouvant les meilleures pratiques en matière de développement logiciel et d’ingénierie des données.
Excellence Opérationnelle
Assurer le fonctionnement fiable et évolutif des composants communs, garantissant disponibilité et respect des normes.
Adoption de la Plateforme
Promouvoir l’adoption en offrant des capacités conviviales et un support d’activation, incluant formation et documentation.
Innovation et Amélioration Continue
Se tenir informé des tendances de l’industrie et conduire des innovations qui peuvent être industrialisées à grande échelle.
Gouvernance et Gestion des Risques
S’assurer que les composants soutiennent les politiques de gouvernance des données tout en minimisant les risques opérationnels.
Profil recherché
- Diplôme : Licence ou Master en informatique ou domaine connexe.
- Expérience : 5 ans minimum en tant qu’ingénieur de données.
- Compétences : Conception et optimisation de pipelines de données évolutifs, bases de données relationnelles (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) et systèmes NoSQL.
- Langages : Maîtrise de Python et Spark, expérience pratique avec Palantir Foundry ou Databricks.
- Compétences supplémentaires : Java, TypeScript souhaitables.
- Compétences interpersonnelles : Excellentes capacités de communication et de travail en équipe.

📝 Description du poste : About the RoleWe are seeking a senior technical leader to drive development of future-oriented data operations capabilities, so called common components, on Swiss Re’s strategic data and analytics management platform. As the Product Lead, you’ll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, engineers, and domain experts across all Business Units and Group Functions. Your mission: to scale adoption, continuously improve platform capabilities, and ensure our data operations remain robust, future-ready, and business-aligned.About the TeamYou will join the global Group Data Services (GDS) organization of the Chief Data and Analytics Officer. The organization consists of teams of enthusiastic data engineers, architects and platform specialists dedicated to realizing the full potential of Swiss Re’s data. We engage with all parts of the company, enabling them to formulate and implement data ambitions, to develop group-wide data assets and to provide data-driven products and services to our clients. The platform you will work with is internally known as « Stargate »; a Palantir Foundry-based data platform that underpins a petabyte-scale data ecosystem of the Swiss Re group. The company uses it to perform a wide range of data processing tasks, building data integration solutions, advanced analytics and even state-of-the-art AI-based automated decision making.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership and Strategy
Define and drive the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle of common components-core services like load management, data quality management, metadata management – ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with data architects, engineers, governance teams, and business stakeholders across all units to understand needs, gather feedback, and prioritize enhancements that benefit the further evolution of common components.Technical Leadership and Engineering Excellence
Contribute to the architecture, design, and development of common components, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions. Lead by example through hands-on engineering, including coding, testing, troubleshooting, and conducting code reviews. Foster best practices in software development and data engineering across teams.Operational Excellence
Oversee the reliable and scalable operation of common components, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with internal and external standards.Platform Enablement and Adoption
Promote the adoption of common components across the organization by delivering well-documented, user-friendly capabilities and providing enablement support (e.g., training, documentation, office hours).Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to evolve capabilities. Drive proof-of-concepts and pilot innovations that can be industrialized at scale.Governance and Risk Management
Ensure that common components support enterprise data governance policies, including data protection, access management, and auditability, while minimizing operational risks.About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a data engineer
- Experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines in Spark-based environments.
- Data engineering and data modelling fundamentals, experience in data integration topics and solutions and experience with software solutions lifecycle, process and approach
- Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL and also NoSQL systems
- Proficiency using Python, Spark; hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry or Databricks or similar
- Java, TypeScript or other full-stack experience is a plus
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of working in collaborative and independent environments.
Nice to have
- Understanding of (Re)insurance or financial services data needs.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar.
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 3,300] and [EUR 5,400] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
