Description du Poste
Chef Technique (Énergies Solaire et Eau)
Le Technical Manager est chargé de superviser toutes les opérations techniques liées à l’eau et à l’énergie au sein d’un portefeuille de luxueuses lodges, de villages de personnel, et des infrastructures de réserves. Ce rôle exige une attention particulière à la durabilité, à la maintenance préventive et corrective, ainsi qu’à l’opération et à l’amélioration de systèmes critiques telle que l’énergie solaire, les réseaux électriques, et les systèmes de traitement et de distribution d’eau.
Responsabilités Clés
Maintenance et Gestion des Opérations
- Fournir des conseils d’expert sur toutes les activités de maintenance.
- Gérer la maintenance réactive et proactives pour respecter et dépasser les normes opérationnelles d’andBeyond.
- Surveiller le déploiement du personnel de maintenance pour garantir une productivité optimale.
- Effectuer des inspections régulières des infrastructures physiques.
Gestion des Systèmes Énergétiques et Hydriques
- Concevoir et maintenir des systèmes d’énergie solaire pour maximiser l’utilisation des énergies renouvelables.
- Superviser les systèmes électriques et garantir la sécurité et la conformité.
- Gérer les systèmes de purification et de distribution d’eau.
- Initier des projets visant à réduire la consommation d’eau et d’énergie.
Gestion de Projets et de Sites
- Agir en tant que chef de projet pour les projets de construction et de rénovation.
- Coordonner les contrats et s’assurer de la qualité du travail.
- Collaborer avec les managers des lodges pour prioriser les besoins techniques.
Compétences et Qualifications
Expérience Requise et Expertise Technique
- 3 à 5 ans dans un rôle de gestion technique dans l’hôtellerie.
- Connaissances des systèmes d’énergie solaire, de purification de l’eau, et des installations électriques.
- Qualifications en électricité ou en maintenance mécanique souhaitées.
- Permis de conduire valide requis.

For this reason, we choose ‘&Beyonders’ very carefully – they are the strength and the future of this company.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical Manager to oversee all technical operations particularly regarding Water and Power across a portfolio of luxury lodges, staff villages, and reserve infrastructure. This role requires a strong focus on sustainability, preventative and reactive maintenance, and the operation and enhancement of critical systems such as solar power, electrical networks, water treatment and distribution, and general infrastructure. The Technical Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving operational standards in line with the brand’s commitment to world-class guest experiences and environmental stewardship.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Operations Oversight
- Provide expert advice and strategic direction on all maintenance-related activities across lodges, staff villages, and the reserve.
- Manage both reactive (breakdown) and proactive (preventative) maintenance to uphold and exceed the andBeyond operational standards.
- Oversee the deployment and scheduling of all maintenance personnel and contractors, ensuring optimal staffing and productivity.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits of all physical infrastructure including buildings, energy systems, water systems, and staff facilities.
Energy & Water Systems Management
- Design, implement, and maintain solar energy systems to maximize renewable energy usage and minimize dependency on generators.
- Oversee all electrical systems, including three-phase and single-phase installations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Manage water purification, storage, and distribution systems, including maintenance of grey water and sewage treatment plants.
- Lead water-saving and power-reducing initiatives aligned with lodge sustainability goals.
Project & Site Management
- Serve as the project manager for all construction, renovation, and infrastructure upgrade projects across properties.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors, artisans, and suppliers, ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely delivery.
- Liaise daily with Lodge Managers to identify and prioritize technical needs and projects, providing regular progress updates.
Training & Staff Development
- Recruit, onboard, and manage technical staff including electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, and general maintenance workers.
- Provide continuous training and upskilling in best practices, safety procedures, and sustainability protocols.
- Foster a team culture focused on pride in craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Support Lodge Managers in the development of monthly maintenance and annual CAPEX budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
- Oversee the procurement and stock management of maintenance supplies, tools, and materials with strict budget adherence.
- Maintain administrative systems for maintenance reporting, work order tracking, procurement, and cost allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all financial processes, including invoice processing and stock reconciliations.
Leadership & Communication
- Conduct daily team briefings to plan, assign, and review maintenance tasks and projects.
- Maintain open communication channels with lodge and operations management; provide clear, concise, and solution-focused feedback.
- Actively participate in management meetings, contributing technical input to broader operational planning.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Skills & QualificationsRequired Experience & Technical Expertise
- Minimum of 3–5 years in a senior maintenance or technical management role in a lodge, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
- Proven experience in the management and operation of:
- Solar power systems
- Water purification and greywater treatment
- Electrical systems (single and three-phase)
- Plumbing and sewage systems
- Refrigeration and air-conditioning
- General building maintenance
- Formal qualifications or certifications in Electrical, Solar Installation, or Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, construction drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Valid Driver’s License required.

- Lead daily maintenance meetings at 7:00am to assign tasks, update planning boards, and coordinate project work.
- Use planning tools to manage:
- Camp-specific tasks
- Breakdowns and emergency repairs
- Preventative maintenance schedules
- CAPEX project milestones
- Artisans, contractors, shopping needs, and material orders
- Prioritize work effectively; avoid reactive crisis management by encouraging strategic planning and foresight.
- Monitor progress of maintenance activities, ensuring completion, accountability, and follow-through.
Office & Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, leave, and HR-related documentation in coordination with Human Capital (HC) department.
- Administer performance reviews, conduct disciplinary hearings, and promote staff wellness and retention.
- Manage procurement, inventory control, and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and quality assurance.
- Maintain records of all tools, materials, and machinery; ensure regular servicing and safekeeping.
