in a full-time position (40 hours per week)Job description

  • General caretaking of the ambassador’s residence and the embassy’s offices
  • Maintenance, renovation and repairs
  • Supervision and coordination of the work of specialist companies
  • Maintenance of contacts to specialist companies
  • Acquisitions, purchases and errands
  • Logistical support of events at the residence

Necessary qualifications

  • Completed vocational training and at least two years of work experience in a relevant field, such as plumber or electrician
  • Driving licence for cars

Desired qualifications

  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed
  • Independence and resilience at work with a sense of responsibility
  • Team spirit and organisational skills
  • Polite appearance
  • Very good knowledge of the English and Danish languages; applicants with good knowledge of the German language will be preferred, if equally qualified
  • Good basic IT skills (Word/Outlook)

The terms of the employment contract are governed by Danish law. The starting salary is at least DKK 33,824 and may be higher if previous experience and employment periods can be recognised. Taxation of the remuneration is based on the double taxation agreement between Germany and Denmark of 22 November 1995. Embassy employees are members of a group company pension scheme with an employer contribution of 10% and an employee contribution of 5% and are covered by occupational accident insurance.A security background check will be required after successfully making it through the selection procedure and before employment.
