With us our customers can steer towards a cleaner future while still tapping into market opportunities around the clock.Were now looking for a Trader or Senior Trader based in our office in Espoo.As a Trader / Senior Trader you will be responsible for managing an assigned book of products by pricing and trading towards customers, counterparts and trading venues. This role is proactively improving the outreach, efficiency and development of the products by working together with Senior Traders in the Trading unit – together creating added value and positive results for the Gasum group.Your main responsibilities will be:
– Proactively drive competitive execution in terms of price, speed and size in order to build long lasting relations and create win-win situations. – Engage in the financial markets and with counterparts to secure and develop market access, competitive pricing ensuring liquidity and market intelligence. – Demonstrate thought leadership of subject and share knowledge to make Gasum stay ahead in the market. – Facilitate collaboration across Supply and Trading unit and seek opportunities to develop cooperation with other units to fulfil business goals and performance. – Continuously improving quality and learning in the customer interaction by conducting joint customer meetings across functions and reporting lines.
What we expect from you:
– Masters degree in engineering or finance, or equivalent relevant – At least +2 years of diverse Trading experience in a variety of commodities/energy/financial duties and interest in the energy sector – Experience in Nordic power market and contract negotiations – Demonstrated history of reaching set P&L goals and KPIs – Understanding of risk management and hedging – Strong communication skills to be able to effectively collaborate with colleagues, customers and stakeholders – High level of numeracy, strong analytical skills, combined with a hands-on approach risk management and optimization practices – Solution and result orientated mindset, and high tolerance for pressure – Fluent Finnish and English language skills (Swedish is a plus) – Familiarity with Python and SQL is advantageous
