Le Sydney Local Health District recherche un(e) **Trainee** motivé(e) pour rejoindre l’équipe de Médecine Intensive au **Concord Hospital**. Ce poste s’adresse aux médecins en formation, enregistrés auprès du **College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM)**, ou à ceux disposant d’une expérience équivalente en soins critiques (urgences, anesthésie et soins intensifs), désirant approfondir leurs compétences dans un environnement de soins intensifs.
En tant que Trainee en soins intensifs, vous serez responsable de la fourniture de services de soins critiques. Vous travaillerez sous la supervision d’un Trainee Avancé en soins intensifs et de consultants, vous permettant ainsi de développer les compétences nécessaires pour devenir un praticien de qualité en médecine intensive.
Formation et Développement Professionnel
Le service des soins intensifs de Concord propose un programme de développement professionnel et d’éducation structuré, comprenant :
- Programme hebdomadaire d’enseignement pour l’examen primaire du CICM
- Formation hebdomadaire en échocardiographie multidisciplinaire
- Accès à des programmes de formation en échocardiographie cardiologique
- Programme éducatif structuré en soins intensifs
- Grandes réunions académiques en soins intensifs multidisciplinaires
- Enseignement sur l’échographie au point de soin
- Rondes cliniques dirigées par des consultants
- Programme de simulation multidisciplinaire
Notre unité de soins intensifs est accréditée **C12** par le CICM pour la formation en médecine intensive, garantissant un soutien adéquat et une supervision par des consultants. Cela inclut l’enseignement au chevet du patient, des tutoriels de préparation aux examens et d’autres activités de recherche et d’assurance qualité.

Requisition ID: CAM25570Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated Trainee to join the Intensive Care Medicine Team at Concord HospitalWhat you will be doingThis position is suitable for medical officers who are registered with the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) or for those with a commensurate level of experience in critical care medicine (Emergency, Anaesthesia and ICU) seeking to obtain further experience & training in an Intensive Care setting.As an ICU trainee you will be responsible for the provision of critical care services to the Intensive Care Unit and to the greater hospital, under the guidance of the ICU Advanced Trainee and Consultants. You will begin to develop the high level and broad skills necessary to become a high quality practitioner in intensive care medicine.Concord ICU offers you an established program for professional development and structured education. We pride ourselves on providing you with a supportive educational environment & flexibility to meet your needs and training goals. This includes:
- Weekly CICM Primary Examination teaching program with a CICM Primary Examiner
- Multidisciplinary Echocardiography training weekly & support for CCPU candidates
- Access to cardiology echocardiography reporting and educational training programs
- Weekly structured ICU education program
- Multidisciplinary academic ICU grand rounds
- Point of care ultrasound teaching
- Consultant led clinical teaching rounds
- Multidisciplinary simulation program
Concord ICU has a research collaborative led by a clinician- researcher with a published track record of published clinical research. With their support, you will have access to conceptualise, develop and successfully complete research and quality investigations, commensurate with the requirements for the CICM formal project.Concord Intensive Care unit has C12 CICM accreditation for training in Intensive care medicine. We ensure that you will have proper support and supervision by consultants; teaching- at the bedside, in tutorials and examination preparation (including hot case and viva practice), involvement in research and quality assurance activities and the practice of evidence based medicine.The Department of Intensive Care Medicine
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Concord General Repatriation hospital is a level 6 ICU, a tertiary referral centre within the Sydney Local Health District. The ICU is a 16 bed centre admitting approximately 1000 patients per year & employing 4 full time Intensivists.Concord Hospital and the Intensive Care Unit provides nationally recognised subspecialty care through the Statewide Burns Injury Service as a quaternary referral centre, and offers opportunity to gain exposure to state of the art management of the critically ill burns patient in a centre of excellence.The ICU at Concord hospital provides critical care services throughout the broader hospital, including complex medical & surgical sub-specialities, such as upper GI surgery, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, vascular surgery and limited thoracic surgery. With a longstanding tradition of excellence in physician training, Concord ICU also offers the opportunity to develop skills in the management of the complex, multi-morbidity medical ICU patient, within a unit led by specialists with dual specialty training & experience.Where you will be working:
