Responsabilités

Le titulaire du poste aura un rôle central dans la gestion et le développement du programme de rugby féminin, y compris :

  • Planification des séances : Élaborer des stratégies d’entraînement alignées sur les objectifs du programme de rugby de Colgate.
  • Encadrement et préparation : Diriger les séances d’entraînement, ainsi que la préparation et la gestion des journées de match.
  • Modèle de comportement : Incarné et promouvoir des valeurs de leadership et de comportement positif parmi les athlètes.
  • Recrutement : Attirer et gérer les athlètes de l’équipe, tout en surveillant leur progrès académique.

Qualifications Requises

Les candidats doivent posséder les compétences et expériences suivantes :

  • Quatre années d’expérience en rugby (joueur ou entraîneur).
  • Certification USA Rugby Level 1 Coach (L200) ou équivalent.
  • Certification en premiers secours, CPR et AED.
  • Permis de conduire valide conforme à la politique de l’université.

Qualifications Préférées :

  • Expérience de quatre ans dans des programmes de rugby de niveau collégial ou professionnel.
  • USA Rugby Level 2 Coach (L300) ou capacité à obtenir cette certification dans les six mois suivant l’embauche.

Détails Pratiques

Les heures de travail sont estimées à 16 heures par semaine durant la période hors saison (juillet) et augmentent à 25-30 heures par semaine lors de la saison (août à novembre). Le poste est limité à 999 heures par année pour la durée de l’emploi.

AccountabilitiesResponsible in conjunction with strategic leadership of all activities and outcomes within the women’s component of the rugby program. These will include sustained performanceand execution in the following areas:

  • Support of the philosophy and objectives of the Colgate Rugby program as a whole
  • Session Planning for the women’s team in line with Colgate’s Coaching and Playing Philosophies, and in conjunction with Director of Rugby
  • Delivery of team, unit and skill specific sessions
  • Delivery of game day preparation, and game management
  • Video review, thematic tagging, and presentation creation
  • Responsible for role modeling positive behaviors and leadership for club-athletes.
  • Creation of a positive, supportive, inclusive environment for all players, administrators and stakeholders.

Responsible for recruitment and management of club athletes to ensure club meetssustained performance in the following areas:

  • Attracting and evaluating club-athletes before, during, and end of season
  • Ensuring club-athlete academic progress and well-being and where appropriate adapting practice schedules to support their academic endeavors
  • Ensuring club-athletes adhere to institutional policies and code of conduct

Responsible for creating a culture of compliance within the programs to all relevantgoverning bodies including:Liberty Rugby ConferenceNY State Collegiate Rugby ConferenceNational Collegiate Rugby (NCR)USA RugbySpecific ConferenceUniversity policiesDepartmental Policies

  • Ensures positive relationships and communication between the program and key stakeholders, including alumni, parents, faculty, and other University constituents.=
  • Effectively support the club’s fundraising efforts
  • Prepare and oversee alumni mailing as per divisional and institutional guidelines

This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA), in accordancewith the federal statutory requirements of the Jeanne Clery Act.
