Description du poste : Job DescriptionThe Workshop Manager/Field Services for workshop in Mkushi, Zambia will be responsible for leading and managing all workshop operations, managing spare stock, ensuring that repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the company’s standards,Responsibilities:Oversee daily workshop operations, spare parts stock levels are correct ensuring that repairs, maintenance, and services on Claas, Vaderstad, Deutz Fahr, Eicher Tractors are completed on time.To market the workshop to farmers to get sufficient work into workshop.Manage and lead a team of mechanics and warehouse staff to maximize productivity.Enforce discipline and ensure that all staff adhere to company policies and safety protocols.Conduct regular performance evaluations for workshop staff, providing feedback and coaching to enhance performance.Promote a culture of accountability and excellence within the workshop team.Maintain high safety standards by ensuring that all workshop operations comply with company safety policies, local regulations, and best practices.Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed within set deadlines and in alignment with the company’s operational targets.Coordinate with the stores department to ensure timely availability of spare parts and equipment necessary for repairs.Implement new strategies and workflows to reduce costs, improve service turnaround time, and enhance safety.Develop and maintain strong communication between departments to ensure smooth coordination.Diagnose and repair machinery on-site at client locations in a timely and professional manner.Read and interpret manuals, mechanical and electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment.Install, Commission, and Provide Training to Staff.Perform routine maintenance on machinery either on-site or in the workshop.(Pre-Harvest, Planting and Land Prep and Pre-Delivery Inspections on all equipment).Provide prompt assistance and advice to clients regarding breakdowns and repairs.Manage and complete multiple job cards within tight deadlines.Do product marketing.Ensure all customer service requests are actioned as per schedule and expectations are exceeded.Key Skills:5 years of experience in a senior technician or similar role.Must have strong electrical knowledgeStrong technical skills on tractors and planters, farm equipmentGood social skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Self-driven, with the ability to take initiative and solve complex problems efficiently.(Should be able to think outside of the box)Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in computer literacy for job card management and reporting.Experience in field service, involving travel to client locations, is essential.Ability and willingness to travel long distances for on-site repairs.Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of enforcing discipline and improving staff performance.Good Communication skills for managing cross-departmental coordination and reporting to senior management.Must be fluent in EnglishQualifications:Must be a Qualified Diesel Technician Red Seal (Section 13 Qualified)Valid driver’s license.Skills Leadership And Team Management, Marketing, Inspection, Mechanics, Time Management, Visio, Management Skill, Accountability, Product Marketing, Customer Service, Strong Communication, Workflow, Leadership, Excel, Communication Skill, Social Skill, Time Management Skill, Supervision, Technical Skill, Technical Skills, Work Independently
