Location: Shangri-La TokyoDuration: Fixed-term 3 monthsStart Date: Upon obtaining a visa＊This opportunity is open only to internal candidates within the Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts group.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing Sales & Marketing Operations: In the absence of the DOSM, provide leadership and support to the Sales, Events, Weddings, and Marketing teams at the heart of Tokyo-Japan’s most dynamic business hub and a premier travel destination.Strategic Business Development: Formulate and implement effective strategies to drive sustainable and profitable growth across both room sales and ancillary revenue streams.Market Trend Analysis & Adaptation: Continuously monitor and assess market trends, including political, economic, and competitive developments, and lead proactive initiatives to respond to shifting conditions.Collaborative Decision-Making: Share market insights and collaborate closely with the General Manager, Director of Revenue Optimization, and cross-functional teams to guide key business decisions.Team Leadership: Directly manage and support the Director of Sales, Director of Events Management & Weddings, and the Sales Manager of GSO Tokyo, ensuring alignment with business goals and team development.Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Successful leadership experience in Japan is a plus.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, CRM tools, and data analytics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
