Description du poste
Dans un monde où l’image est primordiale, le rôle d’**Associate Picture Editor** se révèle crucial. Le candidat idéal doit avoir une excellente maîtrise de l’anglais et posséder une sensibilité accrue pour la photographie d’actualité, capable de trier efficacement des milliers d’images quotidiennement. Ce poste se situe au sein de l’équipe dynamique du *Global Pictures Desk*, assurant une couverture d’actualité contemporaine et diversifiée.
Tâches principales :
- *Collecter des images provenant d’éditeurs et photographes à l’échelle mondiale.*
- *Rechercher et rédiger rapidement des légendes pour les photos, garantissant ainsi leur diffusion efficace auprès des clients.*
- *Maintenir des liens opérationnels étroits entre les différents médias (textes, vidéos) pour une intégration fluide de l’information.*
- *Participer à l’édition en direct d’événements marquants dans les domaines de l’actualité, du sport et du divertissement.*
Profil recherché
Les candidats appropriés doivent posséder un ensemble de compétences et d’expériences variées :
- *Fluente maîtrise de l’anglais, un certificat de langue étant un atout.*
- *Expérience professionnelle en photographie ou journalisme, même à un niveau junior.*
- *Passion pour l’actualité et photographie, couplée à une connaissance approfondie des affaires contemporaines.*
- *Compétences techniques sur des logiciels tels qu’Adobe Photoshop et sur les systèmes Apple.*

📝 Description du poste : Reuters is looking for an enthusiastic journalist with advanced English and a sharp eye for detail who can effortlessly sift through the thousands of photos our photographers shoot every day.You will join our global team editing the news pictures service, which is mainly based at our centre in Gdańsk, Poland. In your role you will contribute to the daily picture file.Our Global Pictures Desk team ensures the quality, accuracy and speed of delivery of news pictures to our clients worldwide. We have a dynamic newsroom including video, text, and graphics journalists which collaborate to produce a compelling professional news product unavailable anywhere else. And we are the first to know the news.Please note this is a hybrid role from our office in Gdansk, Poland.About the Role
In this opportunity as an Associate Picture Editor, you will:
- Gather images sent in from editors and photographers from around the globe
- Research and edit photos and photo captions, writing captions in English quickly and accurately so photos can be delivered to our global clients
- Maintain close operational links between pictures, text, video and on-line operations to guarantee integrated news coverage and production.
- Live edit many major news, sport and entertainment events
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Associate Picture Editor if your background includes:
- Fluent English (English language certificate would be an advantage)
- Professional experience and general interest in photography and journalism in a junior position
- A love for both news and news photography and a strong, up-to-date knowledge of current affairs.
- Competent working knowledge of Apple computers and Adobe Photoshop
- Sound news and pictures judgment and an ability to spot a breaking story.
- Strong interpersonal skills while working under time pressure.
