Description des Missions

Le rôle du Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) se fonde sur les cinq concepts clés établis dans le Cadre pour l’établissement des postes de Clinical Nurse Specialist, quatrième édition, du Conseil National pour le Développement Professionnel des Soins Infirmiers et de la Maternité (NCNM) en 2008. La charge de travail se concentre sur les adolescents et jeunes adultes (AYA) âgés de 13 à 24 ans, récemment diagnostiqués avec un cancer, traités principalement à CHI @ Crumlin, ainsi qu’une fraction de temps au St James’s Hospital à Dublin.

L’encadrement des patients AYAs requiert une gamme variée de compétences professionnelles. Environ 200 jeunes de ce groupe d’âge reçoivent un diagnostic de cancer chaque année en Irlande, ce qui souligne l’importance d’une prise en charge exhaustive incluant la communication, le leadership, l’enseignement, la recherche, et le conseil.

Le CNS collaborera étroitement avec une équipe pluridisciplinaire pour assurer une continuité de soins appropriée et adaptée à chaque étape du parcours du patient, du diagnostic à la survie, en passant par la transition et la fin de vie.

Compétences et Qualifications Exigées

Les candidats doivent répondre aux critères suivants :

1. Inscription : Être un infirmier/infirmière inscrit(e) sur le registre actif d’An Bord Altranais et Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann, ou être éligible pour l’être.

2. Expérience :

   • Minimum d’une année d’expérience post-enregistrement en soins infirmiers généraux.
   • Minimum d’une année d’expérience dans les domaines spécialisés en soins pédiatriques ou en oncologie.

3. Formation : Avoir complété avec succès un programme post-enregistrement qui certifie un niveau 9 ou supérieur conforme aux normes du NCNM.

4. Développement Professionnel Continuing (DPC) : Être en mesure de démontrer un engagement dans des activités de DPC pertinentes à la spécialité.

Il est important de noter que pour les infirmiers/infirmières intéressés par le rôle de CNS et disposant d’une qualification de niveau 8, cette qualification est reconnue jusqu’en septembre 2026, à condition de satisfaire aux exigences d’expérience clinique requises.

📝 Description du poste : Purpose of the RoleDeliver care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse Specialist Posts, 4th edition, National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) 2008Caseload: Adolescents and Young Adults aged 13-24 (+ 364 days) years at diagnosis in CHI @ Crumlin, and 0.2 WTE in St James’s hospital, Dublin· The National framework of care for AYAs with cancer recognises the unique needs of the AYA cancer population. Approximately 200 people aged 13- 24 years are diagnosed with cancer annually in Ireland. The management of AYA patients with malignancy requires a broad range of professional skills including but not limited to communication, leadership, teaching, education, and research and counselling.The CNS will focus initially on the following patient groups: AYAs diagnosed with cancer aged 13-24 (+364 days) years. This post is co-appointed with St James’s hospital and the post holder will contribute to the development of transition programmes and care continuum of AYAs in both hospitals. The post holder will care for young people in collaboration with multidisciplinary team.· The AYA CNS will act as a key worker for AYA cancer patients in CHI @ Crumlin where there is a requirement and ensure assessment and care delivery in a holistic, developmentally appropriate manner.· Must demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, with a high level of clinical expertise in identifying and providing specialist care for AYA cancer patients.· The CNS will have the expertise to tailor care to the specific needs of the AYA population and liaise with multi-disciplinary team members, shared care teams and community teams to ensure a seamless delivery of developmentally appropriate care from prevention to transition, survivorship and end of life.· The post-holder will work closely with colleagues within the national AYA caner network, community services, educational and vocational services and charity partners providing services for AYAs.Essential Criteria:(i)Be a registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by An Bord Altranais and Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be eligible to be so registeredAND(ii) Be registered in the division(s) of General Nursing with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireannAND(iii) Have a minimum of 1 years’ post registration full time experience or an aggregate of 1 years’ full-time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being madeAND(iv) Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience or an aggregate of 1 years’ full-time experience in specialist area of acute paediatric nursingAND/OR(v) Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience or an aggregate of 1 years’ full-time experience in specialist area of cancer nursing(vi) Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider which verifies that the applicant has achieved a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 9 or higher award (equivalent to 60 ECTS or above) that is relevant to the specialist area of care and in line with the requirements for specialist practice as set out by the National Council for Nursing and Midwifery 4th ed (2008). Alternatively provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 9 or higher standard (60 ECTS or above), relevant to the specialist area of care and in line with the requirements for specialist practice as set out by the National Council for Nursing and Midwifery 4th ed (2008).
