Le poste de Court Communications Clerk requiert un candidat engagé dans un apprentissage actif, doté de bonnes compétences d’écoute, d’adaptabilité, de fiabilité, et d’une orientation vers l’action. Le titulaire du poste sera responsable de fournir un service client exceptionnel, en répondant aux demandes d’informations et en aidant les usagers du tribunal à naviguer dans des processus parfois complexes.
Responsabilités Principales
Les principales tâches comprennent, sans s’y limiter :
- Répondre aux appels téléphoniques et fournir des informations spécifiques au tribunal.
- Effectuer des recherches pour résoudre efficacement les demandes des appelants.
- Assurer la saisie de données et la rédaction de correspondances internes et externes.
- Aider les collègues au besoin et suivre les procédures établies.
- Guider les appelants à travers des processus judiciaires complexes.

Compétences et Qualifications :
Les candidats doivent démontrer :
- Des compétences en service client, à la fois orales et écrites.
- Une connaissance des principes de bureau général ainsi qu’une aisance avec les applications informatiques courantes.
- Une capacité à écouter activement et à résoudre des problèmes.
- Une attention particulière aux détails et la capacité de suivre des procédures écrites et orales.
Langues : La maîtrise de langues supplémentaires telles que l’amharic, le chinois, le farsi, le coréen, le punjabi, le russe, le samoan, le somalien, l’espagnol ou le vietnamien est souhaitée.

KCDC is the largest and most technologically advanced Court of Limited Jurisdiction in the State of Washington. It currently processes approximately 200,000 matters per year with 25 elected judges and roughly 260 employees at 8 courthouse locations. The Court is a leader in many areas involving public safety and access to justice, including the use of problem-solving courts, jail-alternative programs, technology- and judge-managed probation services. Fourteen cities contract with King County for court services provided by KCDC.Position Summary
King County District Court is seeking a Communications Clerk who is an active learner, good listener, adaptive, reliable, and action oriented. The responsibilities of a Court Communications Clerk include providing customer service that typically involves receiving and handling callers’ inquiries and/or complaints and responding to information requests. Duties involve providing court participants and the public with available court information, which includes referencing resources around basic programs, services, policies and/or procedures.Court Communications Clerks must provide outstanding & equitable customer service during stressful situations, attention to detail, thrive in a team environment with superb problem-solving skills, and be comfortable interacting with executive-level management and members of the public via telephone on a daily basis. We need Court Communications Clerks to be committed to continuous learning, open to change with a positive attitude, and be able to succeed in a fast-paced and a culturally diverse environment.Job Duties
- Answer telephones.
- Provide Court-specific information that requires limited interpretation of established policies, procedures and other relevant sources to internal and/or external customers over the telephone or in writing.
- Research and problem solve to accurately and efficiently address callers’ inquiry. Determine validity, correctness and completeness of information received. Maintain and/or retrieve information and compile data that may require information searches through files, contracts, records, or computer files.
- Perform data entry and draft internal and external correspondence.
- Assist co-workers as assigned.
- Following procedures and keeping accurate case notes.
- Walk callers through court processes such as navigation of website, e-filing, appearing for zoom.
- Identify obstacles of callers, making sure they receive all needed information that may not have been originally requested, but may assist them and/or provide additional information that would help them in their interactions with the court.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- Effective customer service skills and techniques via telephone. Demonstrated experience practicing discretion, patience, etiquette, professionalism.
- Strong, professional oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to adhere to general office principles and practices.
- General computer knowledge and keyboarding skills, including use of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of proper English grammar, usage, and spelling.
- Interpersonal and human relations skills.
- Ability to exercise active Listening.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience and comfortability using computer applications such as Teams, Microsoft Office, and/or other applications.
- Acquiring knowledge of specialized terminology relevant to position’s assignment.
- Experience taking initiative and adapting to changes in workload demand.
- Strong attention to detail and experience with accurate note taking.
- Ability to follow written and oral procedures.

Supplemental Information

- Work schedule: Regular, working a 40-hour workweek. Responsibilities occasionally may require additional working hours in order to meet deadlines. After hours, on-call support is required.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and move and/or lift up to 10 pounds. The vision abilities required to perform this position include close vision.
- Working Conditions: Work is typically performed in an office environment with a moderate amount of noise (computers, printers, light traffic). This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
