Description du Poste
Le **poste de Student Engagement Intern** est une belle opportunité pour les étudiants de l’Université du Michigan intéressés par les initiatives d’éducation à l’international. Sous la supervision de CEA CAPA, le stagiaire jouera un rôle essentiel pour aider les étudiants à explorer des programmes d’études et des stages.
Responsabilités Principales
- Coordonner des actions de sensibilisation sur le campus, organiser des événements, et participer à des foires d’études à l’étranger en collaboration avec CEA CAPA.
- Assurer le suivi des étudiants intéressés par les programmes CEA CAPA, notamment ceux du CGIS.
- Développer des initiatives pour accroître l’accès à l’éducation à l’international chez les populations sous-représentées.
- En collaboration avec les anciens élèves de CEA CAPA, renforcer la visibilité des opportunités proposées par CGIS.
- Organiser des séances d’information, des entretiens individuels et en petits groupes pour les étudiants intéressés par les programmes d’études et de stages à l’international.
- Répondre aux questions et fournir des conseils pour aider les étudiants à choisir les programmes les mieux adaptés à leurs besoins.
- Apporter un soutien pré-départ en collaboration avec le personnel de CEA CAPA pour les étudiants qui s’engagent dans ces programmes.
- Participer à des formations et à des réunions de suivi avec CEA CAPA.
- Rapporter les efforts concernant l’outreach et le conseil à CEA CAPA.
- Collaborer avec les équipes de relations institutionnelles et de marketing de CEA CAPA pour acquérir des connaissances sur les politiques et pratiques universitaires.
Profil du Candidat Idéal
Le candidat idéal doit être un étudiant actuellement inscrit à l’Université du Michigan, ayant participé à un programme approuvé par CGIS. Les candidats doivent démontrer :
- Des compétences communicationnelles solides, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
- Une capacité à travailler de manière autonome tout en collaborant avec divers intervenants.
- Une passion pour l’engagement étudiant et la promotion des opportunités d’études à l’étranger.
- Une connexion avec la vie étudiante et les organisations de l’UM ainsi qu’avec le bureau CGIS.
En outre, la confiance en soi en matière de prise de parole en public et la connaissance des ressources d’éducation à l’international à l’Université du Michigan sont des plus.
Conditions de Travail
Cet emploi à temps partiel nécessite une disponibilité de 8 à 12 heures par semaine, offrant une rémunération de 14 à 16 dollars de l’heure. La période de travail s’étend d’août 2025 à décembre 2025, avec possibilité d’heures supplémentaires par la suite.

Employment is based on a person’s professional qualifications and competence.Your Role:As the Student Engagement Intern, your role supports education abroad efforts at University of Michigan by helping students explore study and internship opportunities abroad. In collaboration with CEA CAPA and with a focus on CGIS students, the Student Engagement position will complete outreach across campus, serve as a resource for students seeking information on approved CEA CAPA education abroad programs, and support CGIS staff with advising and pre-departure efforts where appropriate. This Student Engagement Intern provides valuable experience in marketing, advising, leadership, communication, public speaking, and student affairs.This is a remote position that is open to University of Michigan students and requires that they reside in the Ann Arbor area.What You’ll Do:OUTREACH (60%)
- Coordinate education abroad outreach on campus, host pop-up events, support with classroom presentations, and attend study abroad fairs in collaboration with CEA CAPA.
- Execute follow-up outreach to students who have expressed an interest in CEA CAPA programs, particularly programs through CGIS.
- Develop targeted outreach for underrepresented populations to expand access to education abroad.
- In collaboration with CEA CAPA Alumni Ambassadors, coordinate additional outreach to generate awareness of CEA CAPA program opportunities CGIS offers.
ADVISING (20%)
- Conduct general info sessions, one-on-one and in small groups, for students interested in approved CEA CAPA study and intern abroad programs.
- Answer questions and provide guidance to students interested in CEA CAPA program offerings with an emphasis on connecting students with best-fit programs.
- In collaboration with CEA CAPA staff, provide pre-departure support to students studying abroad on CEA CAPA programs.
TRAINING & COLLABORATION (20%)
- Participate in trainings, professional development, and check-in meetings with CEA CAPA.
- Report to CEA CAPA on outreach and advising efforts.
- Collaborate with CEA CAPA Institutional Relations and Marketing Teams to build knowledge on campus policies, practices, and program opportunities.
What Makes a Great Candidate:
- Current student enrolled in a degree program at University of Michigan who has participated in a CGIS-approved CEA CAPA program (Madrid in particular).
- Available to work 8-12 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend availability.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds and promoting study abroad opportunities.
- Connectivity to U-M student life, student organizations, and CGIS office.
- Additional Desirable Skills:
- Confidence in public speaking and delivering presentations.
- Familiarity with University of Michigan education abroad resources and policies.
HoursThis is a part-time position paying $14-$16/hr.
