This position is responsible for performing accounting activities such as balance sheet account reconciliations, account approval and open item resolution for the Latin America region on a monthly basis and partners with other departments to leverage systems and resources.
**About the Role**:
In this opportunity as a **Senior Accounting Analyst**, you will:– Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
– Approve balance sheet reconciliations.
– Approve journal entries.
– Open items reporting, follow-up and escalation with various departments.
– Perform month-end close responsibilities with a complete understanding of the close process and the financial framework within an SAP environment to achieve complete, accurate and compliant financial statements.
– Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partnering organizations by providing regular and frequent communications.
– Assist in monthly financial reporting; prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
– Assist in projects on process improvements.
– Provide training to other team members.
**About You**You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:– At least 5 years of professional accounting experience with multi-national companies.
– Knowledge of common accounting procedures.
– Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a competence in presenting in a professional and influential manner.
– Attention to fine detail and demonstrate high-level of accuracy.
– Enterprise resource planning ERP software — for example, SAP, Oracle, BEx, BlackLine.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
– Proficiency in English.
– Portuguese preferred but not required.
