KBR recherche un Lead Pipelines Engineer pour rejoindre son bureau de Leatherhead. Ce poste implique une vaste gamme de responsabilités techniques et managériales, allant de la conception de systèmes de pipelines à la gestion de projets.
Responsabilités Clés
– Conception de Pipelines : Conception de systèmes de pipelines en tenant compte de l’optimisation des itinéraires, de l’alignement et de l’épaisseur des parois. Assurer que les conceptions soient conformes aux normes de sécurité et aux réglementations en vigueur.
– Développement de Stratégies d’Installation : Élaboration de stratégies d’installation en prenant en compte des facteurs environnementaux tels que l’utilisation des terres et la topographie.
– Leadership de Projet : Gestion de projets de pipelines, y compris la définition des objectifs, des délais et des ressources. Surveillance de l’avancement pour garantir que les livrables respectent les critères établis.
– Expertise Technique : Soutien technique et leadership durant tout le cycle de vie des projets, en travaillant en collaboration avec d’autres équipes d’ingénieurs.
– Atténuation des Risques : Identification des risques potentiels et réalisation d’évaluations des risques pour garantir une exécution sûre des activités.
– Assurance Qualité : Mise en œuvre de mesures de contrôle qualité et supervision des audits réguliers pour assurer la conformité.
– Relations avec les Fournisseurs : Collaboration avec les fournisseurs d’équipements et gestion des contrats tout au long du cycle de vie du projet.
– Rapports et Documentation : Préparation de rapports complets et de présentations pour les parties prenantes internes et externes.
– Innovation et Amélioration Continue : Rester informé des développements en ingénierie des pipelines et recommander des solutions innovantes.
– Développement de l’Équipe : Engagement envers le développement professionnel de l’équipe de Piping, avec des contributions à la formation interne.
Qualifications et Expérience
- Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en ingénierie mécanique, civile ou domaine connexe.
- Expérience extensive dans la conception, l’installation et la maintenance de pipelines.
- Connaissance approfondie des codes et normes de l’industrie (API, DNV, ASME, EN).
- Maîtrise des systèmes d’information géographique (GIS) pour leMapping de pipeline.
- Compétences en logiciels de conception tels qu’AutoCAD et CAESAR II.
- Capacité démontrée à diriger des équipes multidisciplinaires et à gérer des projets d’envergure.
- Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes et en analyse technique.
- Communication efficace avec les équipes internes, les contractants et les parties prenantes.
- Engagement envers des normes de sécurité élevées et la durabilité environnementale.
- Adhésion aux normes et procédures d’ingénierie KBR.

Design of pipeline systems, including determining route optimization, alignment, and wall thickness. Ensure all designs meet current industry standards and safety regulations while optimizing functionality and efficiency.Installation Strategy Development:
Plan and develop strategies for pipeline installation. Consider environmental factors such as land usage, topography and installation methodologies. Work closely with other teams and contractors to implement practical, safe, and efficient installation procedures.Project Leadership:
Manage pipeline projects, setting project objectives, timelines, and resources. Monitor progress to ensure that deliverables meet set targets, including deadlines, budget constraints, and quality expectations.Technical Expertise:
Provide technical support and leadership throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with other engineers (geotechnical, structural, and onshore operations teams) to address design challenges and ensure optimal execution of pipeline systems.Risk Mitigation:
Identify potential risks associated with pipeline projects, including environmental or operational hazards. Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safe execution of pipeline activities and compliance with environmental standards.Quality Assurance:
Define and implement quality control measures for pipeline projects. Oversee regular audits and inspections to ensure all deliverables adhere to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.Vendor and Contractor Relations:
Work closely with equipment suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring that selected vendors meet project standards. Oversee contract management and vendor performance throughout the project lifecycle.Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for both internal stakeholders and external clients, highlighting project progress, technical challenges, and proposed solutions. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and effectively communicated.Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed of new developments in pipeline engineering, including emerging technologies and changes in regulations. Proactively recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve project outcomes and operational efficiencies.Team and Business Development:
Committed to professional development of the wider Piping team. They are willing to provide on-job Pipeline Engineering training and development of others. Prepare input to any in-house training exercises or material or programs. Assist with resourcing and recruitment of Pipeline Engineers. Directly contribute to new project concepts and proposals.Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related Engineering field.
- Extensive experience in pipeline design, installation, and maintenance.
- Deep knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, DNV, ASME, EN) relevant to pipeline systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Pipeline mapping using Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Proficiency with design software and tools, such as AutoCAD and pipeline analysis tools like CAESAR II.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline installation techniques, including pipelaying and equipment deployment.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large and small-scale engineering projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and environmental stewardship throughout pipeline operations.
- Adhere to KBR WAY engineering standards and procedures as appropriate and provide input to their ongoing development and enhancement.
- Committed to multi-center project execution and working collaboratively with other KBR offices.
