Thoughtworks recherche un Lead Platform Engineer GCP pour jouer un rôle clé dans l’architecture et la maintenance de l’infrastructure fondamentale qui soutient le développement logiciel efficace et à grande échelle. Ce poste est essentiel dans le cadre d’une approche qui vise à améliorer l’agilité des équipes en se concentrant sur l’automatisation des flux de travail et la création d’outils pour les développeurs.
Responsabilités du Poste
- Design et Mise en œuvre : Concevoir, mettre en œuvre et maintenir des infrastructures de plateforme évolutives et fiables adaptées aux environnements de développement et de production.
- Automatisation : Piloter l’automatisation et les pipelines CI/CD, améliorant ainsi la rapidité et l’efficacité des déploiements.
- Sécurité et Disponibilité : Garantir la sécurité, l’évolutivité et la haute disponibilité de la plateforme pour répondre aux besoins opérationnels.
- Dépannage : Résoudre les problèmes liés à la plateforme, y compris les goulets d’étranglement de performance et les interruptions, tout en assurant une analyse des causes racines.
- Technologies : Gérer des technologies de conteneurisation et des services d’infrastructure cloud.
- Infrastructure as Code : Promouvoir l’utilisation des principes IaC pour définir et gérer les ressources de la plateforme.
- Optimisation : Participer activement à l’optimisation des performances pour les applications cloud.
Qualifications Techniques
- Langages de Programmation : Expérience confirmée en langages tels que Python, Go ou Bash.
- Cloud GCP : Compréhension approfondie des services de GCP.
- Conteneurisation : Expertise en Docker, Kubernetes et outils d’orchestration.
- Outils d’Observabilité : Compétence dans des outils comme Prometheus ou Grafana.

📝 Description du poste : As Lead Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that supports efficient and scalable software development. This involves creating and enhancing developer tools, APIs, and integrations that automate workflows and streamline processes to improve team agility. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the platform meets their needs for delivering high-quality applications, while maintaining scalability, reliability, and performance. A key aspect of this role is empowering development teams to independently provision and manage their own software delivery pipelines, including CI/CD systems, source control, and artifact repositories, enabling them to deliver software continuously and reliably without relying on other teams. You will guide the design and implementation of efficient and secure pipelines tailored to specific software delivery engagements, ensuring fast feedback loops and adherence to risk management, security, and governance requirements.Job responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable platform infrastructure to support the development and production environments.
- Drive automation and CI/CD pipelines for the platform, improving the speed and efficiency of deployments and operations.
- Ensure the platform’s security, scalability, and high availability, meeting the business needs and operational SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, incidents, and outages, and ensure root cause analysis is performed and communicated.
- Implement and oversee the use of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and manage cloud infrastructure services (e.g.,AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their services, including compute, storage, networking, and serverless technologies.
- Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and container orchestration platforms such as AWS EKS, GKE, or similar.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
- Champion the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to define and manage platform resources.
- Support the adoption of DevOps and GitOps practices to streamline deployments, enhance collaboration, and reduce manual intervention.
- Actively participate in performance tuning and optimization for cloud-based applications and infrastructure, ensuring long-term sustainability and performance.
Job qualificationsTechnical Skills
- Extensive experience in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
- Deep understanding of cloud platform GCP and their services, including compute, storage, networking, and serverless technologies.
- Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and container orchestration platforms.
- Expertise in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, NewRelic, or ELK Stack, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot platform issues.
- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Experience with cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and securing cloud-native services.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, serverless computing, RESTful APIs, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and GitOps practices, with hands-on experience automating workflows and deployments.
- Strong understanding of platform performance tuning, cost optimization, and scaling.
