Description du poste

Cette position est à pourvoir à Sohar, Al Batinah. Le spécialiste en achats et gestion des matériaux collaborera avec les équipes de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, de construction et des sous-traitants pour assurer le bon déroulement des opérations liées aux matériaux.

Responsabilités principales :
– Vérifier les plannings de livraison et s’assurer que les matériaux sont disponibles en temps voulu.
– Gérer un contrat de services général pour le stockage et la distribution de matériaux sur le chantier.
– Collaborer avec des équipes variées pour résoudre les problèmes techniques liés aux matériaux.

Exigences liées au poste :
– Diplôme universitaire (ou équivalent international) et 5-8 ans d’expérience pertinente, ou 9-12 ans d’expérience sans diplôme.
– Compétences en ingénierie de terrain, en systèmes d’approvisionnement et en gestion d’inventaire.

Impact Report.Project Overview:Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.Job Summary:In this role, you will interface with supply chain, construction and contractor personnel in all materials fulfillment and operations. You will participate with the project management team in defining and developing the scope of work, and in preparing and coordinating materials management plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, and forecasts. You will ensure materials management operations comply with corporate, business unit and project requirements.Maintains direct working relationships with Project Management, Project and Field Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Project and Field Procurement personnel, Contractor and the Customer to ensure mutual understanding, development, and attainment of objectives, plans, and requirements for materials management of the project.The Materials Professional/Field Purchasing Professional will manage the general services contractor who will administer and allocate space for laydown yards, warehouse, receiving areas, staging areas, equipment storage and contractor yards. The general services contractor will be responsible for receiving and issuing the materials at jobsite.This role will manage EPCM-issued and contractor-issued materials flow from the warehouse(s) to construction.
#LI-AR2Major Responsibilities:
-Reviews the initial master schedule, detailed timing and sequence of each functional group, and actual progress of each group to confirm that materials meet required delivery dates. Reviews any schedule revisions for impacts and participates in the development of contingency planning.
-Ensures that items on the equipment list have been identified for requisition and purchase, and that requisition issue dates support project detail schedules. Monitors Engineering progress in the preparation and issuance of material requisitions.
-Issues the material responsibility matrix to reflect the agreed division of functional responsibilities for material activities among project, support, and field offices.
-Prepares and/or directs preparation material fulfillment of all Bechtel and contractor procured materials including interface with Purchasing, Expediting, contracts and Construction to ensure that our tools reflect material planning and active inventory associated.
-Develops, coordinates, and make materials management presentations to project and/or Customer personnel as needed. Maintains a positive working relationship with the various contractors to ensure that they have and follow a materials control and inventory program.
-Collaborates with Engineering and contractor to resolve UOS&D’s. As applicable, the role will provide oversight to Bechtel resources and/or third parties co-located at the contractor facilities to ensure prompt receiving and actioning/disposition of any technical concerns raised during the receiving process.
-Plans and directs the orderly closeout of Procurement operations, including destuffing, coordination for settlement of material claims and back-charges, and actioning surplus materials.Education and Experience Requirements:
-Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge and Skills:
-Intermediate knowledge of Field Engineering disciplines, work processes, and the deliverables produced.
-Intermediate knowledge of inputting requisitions, receipt, storage, and issue of materials into procurement software.
-Knowledge of vendor, fabricator, contractor, Customer and how outside data systems interact with procurement automation tools, knowledge of Bechtel’s DSCS is preferred.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
-Experience with work packaging, and materials status reporting.
