Ce rôle crucial consiste à concevoir, développer et maintenir des solutions d’extraction, de transformation et de chargement (ETL) de données pour répondre aux exigences commerciales.

Responsabilités Principales

• Maîtriser et développer des requêtes SQL conformes aux normes ANSI.
• Manipuler des formats de données semi-structurés tels que JSON, XML et HTML.
• Tirer parti d’outils de requêtes pour systèmes distribués tel que Hive, Impala et divers clients SQL, incluant RDBMS, Python et Scala.
• Transformer les données pour les adapter aux besoins d’affaires, en utilisant des outils comme Informatica ou Talend et des frameworks comme Spark ou MapReduce.
• Connaissance des technologies d’entrepôt de données et de rapport.

Compétences Requises

• Excellentes compétences analytiques et en planification.
• Capacité à communiquer et à présenter efficacement.
• Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes.
• Expérience en techniques devOps est un atout.
• Compétence dans la création de pipelines Jenkins et de tests unitaires pour l’automatisation.
• Utilisation de Git pour le contrôle des versions et expérience avec Docker et technologies de conteneurs sont des plus.
• Connaissance du framework Flink Streaming.
• Expérience avec des technologies Cloud (AWS RedShift, S3, etc.).
• Capacité à concevoir des architectures de données durables pour systèmes Big Data.
• Compréhension des concepts de fichiers petits en HDFS et des formats de stockage comme Parquet et ORC.
• Compétences solides en SQL et expérience en Python, Java ou Scala.
• Familiarité avec des outils ETL tels que Talend, Ab Initio, etc.
• Confiance dans l’utilisation des partitions et des regroupements avec Hive.

Profil du Candidat

Le candidat idéal est titulaire d’un diplôme de premier cycle et possède une passion pour le développement logiciel et la gestion des données. Cette position est accessible aux niveaux juniors et pour les apprentis.

📝 Description du poste : An ETL Developer is responsible for:

• Being able to understand and develop ANSI SQL queries;
• Being aware of handling other semi-structured data formats – JSON, XMLs, HTMLs etc;
• Being comfortable in querying tools for distributed systems such as Hive, Impala and other SQL clients (RDBMS, Python, Scala etc.);
• Being comfortable in handling transforming data to suite business needs;
• Being able to handle tools for data transformation and/or ETL through tool-based and code-based development – ex. Informatica or Talend for tool based / Spark or MapReduce framework in Python or Scala/Java for code-based development;
• Having a background on data warehousing and reporting technologies

• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Experienced in end-to-end devOps techniques is a plus;
• Able to create Jenkins pipelines and create unit test cases for automated testing;
• Experience in Git version control is a plus;
• Experience in Docker containers and container technologies is a plus;
• Experienced in Flink Streaming framework;
• Experienced in using Cloud Technologies (AWS RedShift, S3 etc.);
• Must be comfortable in designing sustainable data architecture for Big data systems. That is balance partitioning with respect to target block sizes of the HDFS, compaction techniques, bucketing etc;
• Must understand concepts of Small Files in HDFS, Storage formats such as columnar format (Parquet and ORC) and Transmit formats (Avro);
• Must be able to understand resource allocation and proper resource sizing for distributed jobs. Ex. Spark executor and driver sizes;
• Strong SQL skills;
• Experienced in any of the following languages Python, Java, Scala;
• Experienced in Talend, Information, Ab Initio and other ETL GUI based tools;
• Comfortable in working with Hive partitioning and bucketing
