Description du Poste
Dans le cadre de son développement à Porto Rico, Turner & Townsend Heery est à la recherche d’un Assistant Project Manager spécifiquement pour des projets de construction dans les secteurs des sciences de la vie, de la pharmacie et de la biotechnologie. Pour réussir dans ce rôle, il est essentiel de posséder d’excellentes compétences en communication et une aisance dans les interactions avec les clients.
Objectifs du Poste
- Gérer les coûts globaux des projets, les plannings et les budgets.
- Superviser les entrepreneurs généraux et les autres fournisseurs contractuels.
- Analyser et suivre les activités critiques pour éviter les retards de calendrier.
- Revoir les propositions de construction ainsi que les devis associés.
- Valider et approuver les programmes financiers des projets.
Qualifications Requises
Les candidats doivent posséder une série de compétences analytiques avancées et de solides bases en gestion financière. Voici les critères essentiels :
- Capacité à analyser et interpréter des documents commerciaux complexes.
- Compétences en résolution de problèmes dans des situations variées et complexes.
- Connaissance des termes et principes financiers.
- Compétences intermédiaires avec la Suite Microsoft Office et des logiciels de gestion de projets.
Éducation et Expérience
Le poste requiert au minimum un diplôme de niveau secondaire (GED) avec une préférence pour un diplôme associé en architecture ou en technologie de l’ingénierie. Une expérience d’au moins un an dans un rôle similaire est également souhaitée.

- Manage overall project cost, schedule and budgets.
- Manage General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors and consultants.
- Analyse, track and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
- Review construction proposals and related pricing/scopes.
- Review, correct and assess work-in-place, to approve capital expenditure spends.
- Review and approve cost loaded schedules.
- Run and lead client and other required meetings.
- Identify the factors that influence construction costs and can monitor and report on this data.
- Knowledge and experience with all methods of construction procurement and long lead equipment.
- Review, validate and audit cost estimates prepared by contractors and others within a client’s organization.
- Support engineering decisions relating to the project cost and budget while design-build changes take place during construction.
- Review requests for payment.
- Track and ensure equipment meets the project schedule.
- Record occurrence that might result in a claim – acting on the client’s behalf.
- Advocate on the part of the client during disputes, disagreements, modifications, or change orders.
- Coordinate and oversee scheduling consultant reviews on the project.
- Review and approve final invoices, payment applications, retention payments.
- Oversee and manage the transfer of the building operations to the client including all close out documentation and warranties.
- Takes and edits and distributes meeting minutes.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.
- Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.
- Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Ability to calculate complex figures.
- Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
- Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
- Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic.
- Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the client.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
- Knowledge in MS Project, contracts, and construction practices.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) , College Diploma in Architecture or Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred. Minimum of one year(s) of related experience.
- Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
- Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
- Intermediate skills with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite products. Proven organizational skills. Ability to complete multiple tasks as assigned.
