Ce poste est soumis à l’attribution de contrats. Le titulaire sera chargé d’effectuer des procédures d’imagerie diagnostique telles que les radiographies, contribuant au diagnostic et au traitement des états médicaux des patients. Il sera essentiel d’assurer la sécurité et le confort des patients, tout en respectant les réglementations sanitaires établies.

Responsabilités clés

Le Technicien en Radiologie devra :

  • Faire preuve d’expertise dans l’utilisation des consoles de contrôle et des tubes radiologiques, afin de réaliser des procédures diagnostiques et interventionnelles.
  • Effectuer une gamme complète d’études radiographiques générales, y compris les images thoraciques, abdominales et des membres.
  • Assurer la qualité des examens radiographiques, en minimisant l’exposition du patient et en contrôlant les coûts.
  • Pratiquer des mesures de sécurité pour réduire l’exposition aux radiations.
  • Respecter les procédures de sécurité de l’établissement médical et participer aux activités d’assurance qualité.
  • Identifier correctement les patients et les images pour éviter toute confusion.
  • Expliquer les examens aux patients, en leur assurant compréhension et sécurité.

Qualifications requises

Certifications de base :

  • Certification en technologie radiologique générale par l’American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Certification en secourisme de base (BLS) de l’American Heart Association.
  • Formation en secourisme de base.

Conditions d’expérience :

  • Minimum d’une année d’expérience générale démontrant des capacités à interagir avec le public de manière tactful et à comprendre et appliquer les règlements écrits et verbaux.

Éducation requise

Le candidat doit avoir complété un programme de technologie radiologique diagnostique d’au moins 24 mois, certifié par le Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) ou une autre agence reconnue.

Exigences physiques

Ce poste est considéré comme un travail à risque. Les conditions physiques incluent :

  • La capacité de marcher, courir ou se déplacer rapidement.

This role includes ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures and maintaining compliance with health regulations and protocols.Key ResponsibilitiesOperates and displays expertise and skill in the use and operation of x-ray control consoles, tube assemblies and lock systems to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Performs a full range of general radiology imaging studies, for example, chest abdomen and extremity images.
Responsible to the radiologists, lead technologist, and chief technologist for the quality of radiographic exams performed to assure a high level of acceptability of radiographs while minimizing patient dosage and reducing costs.
Practices radiation safety to reduce exposure to patient, staff and self.
Assure compliance to radiation regulations wear film badges.
Be aware of and practice the safety policies/procedures of the medical center and participate in quality assurance activities as directed.
Schedules exams in the appropriate order when multiple procedures are requested.
Properly identifies the patient and the image.
Uses left and right markers. This is essential so that mistaken identity does not occur.
Be certain that the patient ID band and the request are identical.
Responsible to explain exams to competent patients so that the patient understands what is to be done as well as any adverse reactions, if any, are possible.
May be required by procedure or patient’s condition to monitor vital signs, recognize allergic reactions and initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation.This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.QualificationsBasic Requirements/Certifications:Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT)

Ability to maintain poise and self-control during situations that involve mental stress, such as fires, explosions, civil disturbances, and building evacuations.Education Required:Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in duration (or the equivalent) in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, evidenced by a certificate or an associate degree, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or from other accrediting agencies as recognized by the Department of Education (DOE).Physical Requirements:This position is considered hazardous duty.
Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance.
Required to jog/fast walk up to ¼ mile.
Requires physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds.
Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging patients or staff exiting the building (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling, or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self).
Must be able to see, hear and smell with aids if necessary.
Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds.
Must perform the duties of my job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations.
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
Average manual dexterity for computer operation.

Must maintain current/physical residency in the continental U.S.
Pass a medical examination conducted by a licensed physician within 30 days prior to initial assignment.

Have resided in the U.S. for the last five years (unless abroad on official U.S. government duty).
Successfully engage in and complete a thorough Background Investigation.
Poses or have ability to obtain required security clearances.
