Le Poste de Senior GNC Engineer, ADCS
Localisation : Helsinki, mode hybride (3 jours par semaine sur site)

Mission Principale :
Le candidat sélectionné sera responsable de la conception, du développement et de la maintenance des logiciels de contrôle de navigation et de contrôle d’attitude (ADCS). Ce rôle est essentiel pour assurer l’efficacité opérationnelle de la plus grande constellation SAR commerciale au monde. Le poste offre également des perspectives de leadership dans le futur.
Responsabilités Clés
- Développer et maintenir des composants logiciels pour le GNC des satellites;
- Mentorer des ingénieurs moins expérimentés;
- Analyser et améliorer continuellement les spécifications et les procédures;
- Encourager une culture d’innovation et de collaboration;
- Effectuer des études de performance et de compromis pour les missions spatiales;
- Participer aux revues de conception et de code;
- Collaborer avec différentes équipes lors d’expériences en orbite et d’investigations d’anomalies;
- Communiquer les progrès aux stakeholders de tous niveaux.
Exigences du Poste
Formation :
Un diplôme de Bachelor ou Master en ingénierie aérospatiale, ingénierie de contrôle, informatique, physique ou un domaine technique similaire.
Expérience :
Une expérience démontrée dans le développement de systèmes de contrôle en temps réel en applications aérospatiales (plus de 10 ans) est requise. L’expérience dans la conception et le développement d’ADCS est fortement souhaitée.
Compétences Techniques :
- Compréhension approfondie de la mécanique orbitale, de la dynamique d’attitude et du filtrage de Kalman;
- Maîtrise des langages de programmation tels que C++, Simulink et Python;
- Utilisation d’outils de développement moderne tels que git et des systèmes CI/CD.

This pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the long-term success and operational efficiency of the largest commercial SAR constellation on Earth, with the potential for future leadership.As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining ADCS software and relevant supporting tools. You will optimize satellite operations, enhance software tools, and address on-orbit challenges. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including mission planning, ground systems, SAR processing, and satellite operations, is essential to achieve mission goals.Tech Stack

RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain software components performing GNC functions on board the satellite
- Guide and mentor less experienced engineers
- Take ownership of the things you produce. You are expected to continuously monitor, analyze and improve the specifications and procedures you define, and software you develop.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, encouraging professional growth and continuous learning.
- Perform performance and trade studies related to ADCS for existing and future space missions.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Partner with mission operations, payload teams, and ground systems engineers to run in-orbit experiments and anomaly investigations.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
RequirementsEducational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience developing real-time control systems in space or aerospace applications (10+ years). Experience designing and developing ADCS is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading small teams or projects in a technical domain.
- Experience working with continuous integration and testing of software systems is highly desired.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth understanding of orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics, state estimation and Kalman filtering.
- In-depth understanding of linear control theory
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Simulink, Python, C++ or similar.
- Proficiency in modern software development tools: git, CICD systems
Leadership & Communication:
- Strong organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
