  • Run end-to-end high-impact SEO – Keyword Universe build-outs, Gap and Competitor analyses, Technical SEO and Backlink audits—then translate findings into clear, high-impact roadmaps.
  • Craft and execute content strategies that close keyword gaps and feature in results at all stages of the customer funnel.
  • Lead technical optimisation (Core Web Vitals, crawl health, indexation, schema) and drive fixes across client dev, design, and content teams.
  • Stay future-focused – track emerging Google features, AI search shifts, and SERP trends; pilot new tactics before they hit mainstream blogs.
  • Present insights that spark action – build dashboards and narratives that make complex data instantly clear to clients and creatives.
  • Measure what matters – own organic traffic, ranking, and conversion KPIs for a roster of clients and our own site.

About YouYou’ll thrive here if you:

  • Bring 5 + years’ hands-on SEO experience (agency or multi-site).
  • Can design and operate the full SEO toolkit: keyword research, competitor analysis, technical improvements, content strategy and link-building.
  • Communicate complex ideas in plain English -equally at home with C-suite, devs, and designers.
  • Track and test emerging SERP features – reading patents, testing beta features, and sharing learnings with the team.
  • Master the core stack: GA4, Search Console, Semrush or Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio and any emerging tools you love.
  • Reside (and can legally work) anywhere in South Africa with reliable internet.

Bonus points

  • Previous experience or background in Paid Media
  • Shopify, Webflow, or headless CMS know-how.
  • Ability to automate SEO tasks with Python or Google Sheets.

What you get

  • Salary: R 35 000 – R 65 000 per month before taxes
  • Medical Aid: We’ll contribute up to R 3 500/month on top of your salary
  • Retirement/GAP top-up: We’ll contribute R 700/month on top of your salary
  • Leave: 33 days per year (public holidays included).
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5.30pm GMT/BST
  • Equipment: We’ll provide a MacBook Air and anything else you need to work from home.
