Rejoignez une équipe internationale passionnée et aidez à transformer la conceptualisation du calcul quantique en systèmes confiables et évolutifs. Les processeurs quantiques à ions piégés, en raison de leur excellence en matière de fidélité et de volume quantique, sont au cœur de cette révolution. Ce rôle vous place à la pointe du développement technologique, où vous collaborerez avec des partenaires commerciaux et académiques pour industrialiser ces processeurs.
Vos responsabilités incluront :
- Co-développement des prochaines générations d’unités de traitement quantique (QPUs) avec nos partenaires commerciaux.
- Conduite du développement technologique des processeurs quantiques à ions piégés, en mettant l’accent sur l’évolutivité vers des puces de grande taille.
- Intégration des composants photoniques et électriques dans le processus de fabrication des QPUs.
- Faciliter les projets de recherche avec des partenaires académiques.
- Supervision d’étudiants en Master et PhD.

Votre profil : Vous êtes une personne proactive, passionnée par les nouvelles technologies, avec d’excellentes aptitudes à la communication et un esprit d’équipe. Nous recherchons des candidats qui :
- Sont très motivés pour faire de l’informatique quantique une réalité.
- Ont un doctorat en physique, ingénierie quantique, photonique ou domaines similaires.
- Apportent plus de 5 ans d’expérience dans la fabrication de semi-conducteurs, l’optique quantique et/ou le calcul quantique à ions piégés.
- Sont fluides en anglais. La maîtrise de l’allemand est un atout.
Rémunération :
Le salaire répond aux exigences collectives du secteur de l’électrotechnique et de l’électronique, avec un versement mensuel de 14 fois par an. Une rémunération supérieure peut être envisageable, en fonction de votre expérience et compétences.

Working closely with top-tier customers and academic partners, you’ll lead the industrialization of trapped-ion quantum processors. Your new responsibilities include driving the development of cutting-edge ion trap chips and advancing their integration into quantum processing units (QPUs).In your new role you will:
- Co-develop the next generations of QPUs with our commercial partners
- Drive technology development for trapped-ion quantum processors, with focus on scaling towards very large chips
- Perform process integration of photonic and electrical components into the QPU’s fabrication route
- Enable the research community through projects with academic partners
- Supervise master and PhD students

- Have a PhD in Physics, Quantum Engineering, Photonics, or similar
- Bring 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or (trapped-ion) quantum computing
- Be fluent in English, German skills or the willingness to learn are a plus
The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2024.pdf).
