Le poste de Coordinateur Sportif au sein de Varsity College, une marque renommée de l’Institut Indépendant de l’Éducation (IIE), est à pourvoir. L’établissement est reconnu pour son leadership dans l’enseignement supérieur privé en Afrique du Sud. Le candidat retenu aura pour responsabilité directe le développement de l’expérience étudiante à travers divers programmes sportifs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gestion des Clubs Sportifs : Supervision de l’inscription des étudiants au VC Sports Club et gestion des frais associés.
- Participation Étudiante : Encouragement et suivi de la participation des étudiants à des activités sportives variées.
- Développement d’un Calendrier Sportif : Coordonner les événements, entraînements et compétitions en collaboration avec les administrateurs des clubs sportifs.
- Recrutement et Gestion des Boursiers : Sélectionner et gérer les athlètes bénéficier de bourses dans les clubs de rugby et de hockey.
- Gestion des Relations Externes : Maintenir des relations avec les tiers (sponsoring, ligues et lieux de compétition).
- Social Media Management : Aider à la gestion des comptes Instagram et Twitter pour maximiser la visibilité des activités sportives.
- Programme de Rugby de Haut Niveau : Coordination logistique et gestion des athlètes pour le programme de rugby du Varsity College.
Compétences Requises
- Organisation : Excellentes compétences administratives et interpersonnelles.
- Énergie et Passion : Le candidat idéal doit être dynamique et passionné par l’événementiel sportif.
- Gestion du Temps : Capacité à gérer efficacement le temps et à négocier.
- Communication : Compétences en prise de parole en public et connaissance approfondie du secteur sportif.
Qualifications Requises
- Diplôme : Diplôme en gestion du sport ou marketing (NQF Level 6) ; un degré supérieur est un atout.
Expérience Professionnelle Minimale
- 2 à 3 ans d’expérience dans un rôle de gestion sportive.
- Expérience souhaitée en coordination d’un programme de rugby de haut niveau.
Exigences Spéciales
- Permis de conduire et véhicule personnel requis.

The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa, and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).The IIE Varsity College, Durban North Campus has a vacancy for a Sport Co-ordinator.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the registration process of the VC Sports Club and ensure all students that participate in sporting activities on campus, pay the annual VC Sports Club fees.
- Manage the VC Sports Club for Durban North Campus and drive and monitor student participation across all sports clubs on campus.
- Ensure the VC Sports Club caters for students wanting to participate in either an individual and/or team sport and at both competitive or social level.
- Design, manage and co-ordinate, together with the Sports Club Administrators, the campus sports calendar of events/fixtures/practises/leagues both on and off campus.
- Recruitment, selection and management of sports bursary students for all major The IIE’s Varsity College team sports clubs with the main focus being VC Hockey and/or Rugby Club.
- Recruitment, selection and management of the administrators for each sports club on campus.
- Manage the administration and growth of the Major Sports Club i.e. VC Hockey and/or Rugby Club e.g. player management, facilities management etc.
- Work with the VC Sports Club committee to build the VC Sports Club supporter base and social environment of the VC Hockey and/or Rugby Club.
- Provide accurate reporting of all sports activities for the Durban North Campus, within the time frames provided.
- Be accountable for all sporting equipment, playing kit and apparrel owned by each campus’s Sports Club and maintain strict stock control procedures.
- Manage all 3rd party relationships with regards to venues, leagues and sponsorships.
- Manage and control the campus sports budget.
- Assist in the management of the VCSportsLife Instagram and Twitter account. Ensure that information and pictures for VC Sports Club activities namely practises, matches, events etc. are collected and submitted to ensure maximun coverage on all VC social media platforms, press releases and the IIE’s College website.
- Coordination of high-perfomance sports programme such as Varsity Cup, Varsity Sports and USSA.
- Coordinate and manage the high-performance rugby program for the Varsity College Rugby Club, which includes the holistic management of all student-athletes and coordination of the logistics, medical and student engagement for the Varsity Cup campaign.
Competencies Required:
- High level of organisational, administrative, computer and interpersonal skills required
- Best suited to an energetic, organised person who is gregarious in nature and who also enjoys planning sports events for students
- Effective time management and negotiation skills
- Public speaking
- Good knowledge of sport and sporting industry
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Sport Management/Development or Marketing.
- Degree in Sport Management/Development or Marketing is advantageous.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years experience that supports organisational competencies as mentioned above.
- Experience in Sport Management is essential.
- Experience in the coordination of a high-performance rugby program is preferable
Special Requirement:
- Drivers license and own vehicle is essential
