Description du poste : Mid to Senior Structural Engineer Job Vacancy – Somerset West or Bellville office, WCOur Structural Engineering firm is looking to appoint a Mid to Senior level Structural Engineer to join our Somerset West Office.To fulfil the responsibilities of this role, you are expected to be detail-oriented, creative, and possess problem-solving skills, display an investigative nature and must be accurate, commercially aware, and have great communication skills. This is a collaborative position that will allow the engineer to learn from those around them while also getting a chance to work autonomously on projects from concept to completion. This position will involve taking on a teamlead roll to assist junior engineers to develop their skills while still performing your own designs.Structural Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in structural design and detailing of various structures (Steel, Concrete, Masonry).
- Create technical drawings and project specifications.
- Liaise with professionals such as architects, specialist engineers, clients and contractors.
- Perform site inspections of structural elements.
- Perform a team-lead role assisting junior engineers to develop their skills.
- Structural Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3-8yrs experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD, or similar computer-aided detailing software. Revit is a plus.
- Experience with BIM design software, such as Prokon.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
