Responsabilités
En tant que Lead Primary HV Engineer – Substations, vous serez chargé de :
- Diriger : Conception de systèmes primaires HV pour sous-stations, de l’idée initiale à la réalisation détaillée.
- Produire : Diagrammes unifilaires, mises en page des sous-stations HV, listes de matériaux et vérifications de clarté.
- Comprendre : Les aspects techniques critiques liés aux projets complexes.
- Gérer : Ateliers de conception et de sécurité avec les clients et autres parties prenantes.
- Établir : Des propositions et estimations budgétaires.
- Collaborer : Avec d’autres ingénieurs et clients pour des projets à travers l’Australie et la Nouvelle-Zélande.
- Encadrer : Une équipe d’ingénieurs et de concepteurs, tout en assurant un mentorat efficace.
Qualifications Requises
Pour postuler, il est essentiel de posséder :
- Diplôme : Universitaire en Ingénierie Électrique ou Systèmes Énergétiques.
- Expérience : Au moins 10 ans dans des designs de transmission et de sous-stations.
- Connaissance : De l’industrie de la transmission et de la distribution en Australie.
- Compétences : Maîtrise des outils de conception 3D tels que Bentley et AutoCAD, avec la capacité d’apprendre de nouveaux logiciels.
- Titre : L’obtention du chartership est souhaitée.

As our new Lead Primary HV Engineer – Substations , you’ll play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients. Working within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals based in Sydney on a wide variety of projects of our Energy & Industrial service group, getting exposure to varied and challenging projects locally in Sydney and across Australia.Your role will include the following:
- Lead and deliver the concept to detailed Design of HV substation primary systems
- Primary systems design – produce SLDs, HV substation layouts, equipment/materials lists, clearance checks, and short circuit force calculations
- Understand the critical technical aspects of projects, implementation, and integration for complex systems
- Lead and manage design & safety workshops with clients and stakeholders
- Site visits, assessment surveys, etc., as required
- Preparation and review of design reports and power system calculations
- Preparation of proposals & budget estimates
- Ability to manage mid-sized projects or parts of larger projects independently.
- Interfacing directly with other interdisciplinary engineers/ clients/ suppliers on projects and new opportunities across ANZ
- Lead & manage a team of engineers & designers as mentor and/ or Team Leader.
- Communicate in a way that draws people in and effectively convey information in a way that best suits the audience
- Being a strong all-rounder, apply your range of electrical engineering experience to a range of different projects
- Define the scope of work to our clients, then package up and deliver using our unique digital delivery environment

- University degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering (or equivalent)
- 10+ years minimum relevant experience in transmission and substation designs
- Knowledge of the transmission and distribution industry, standards, and codes in Australia and/or design experience with Australian electrical utilities
- Site experience/ experience in projects being constructed and commissioned
- Experience with Bentley – Open Utilities 3D design tools, Autodesk Navisworks, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation a plus
- Skilled at or able to learn software packages independently, such as CDEGS, DigSILENT, ETAP, CYMCAP, etc., would be an added advantage.
- Chartership desirable.
