Équipe et Mission Spécifique
L’équipe Basemap est en charge du contenu et de la cartographie de la carte visuelle Mapbox Streets, utilisée par de grandes entreprises telles que Toyota et BMW. Le produit dont vous aurez la charge est accessible à plus de 700 millions d’utilisateurs actifs mensuels. Dans ce contexte, Mapbox recherche un Software Data Engineer II, dont le rôle sera vital pour créer de nouvelles cartes destinées aux secteurs de l’automobile, de la logistique, des applications grand public, des activités de plein air et du gaming.
Responsabilités Clés
Dans le cadre de cette position, vous serez amené à :
- Collaborer avec l’équipe pour identifier et planifier des tâches bien définies.
- Exécuter ces tâches avec rigueur et responsabilité, en veillant à respecter les délais et les standards de qualité.
- Concevoir des systèmes adaptés à la croissance rapide du nombre de clients de Mapbox.
- Encourager une culture d’excellence opérationnelle en testant et en surveillant les systèmes.
- Contribuer à la réduction de la dette technique et à l’optimisation des performances des applications.
Profil Recherché
Compétences et Expériences :
Pour postuler, les candidats doivent justifier :
- Plus de 5 ans d’expérience en programmation et en conception d’applications de haute qualité et de pipelines de données.
- Au moins 3 ans d’expérience avec des technologies Big Data (Apache Spark, AWS-EMR, Airflow, Athena).
- Une compréhension approfondie des structures de données et des algorithmes.
- Un état d’esprit orienté vers la qualité, avec la capacité de produire des tests unitaires et de remédier proactivement aux défauts.
- Une volonté de partager son expertise par le biais de la documentation et du mentorat.
Atouts Souhaités :
Une expérience en Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Cloud Formation), une bonne connaissance du stack technique de Mapbox (Node.js, AWS Services), et une approche analytique rigoureuse seront des points supplémentaires à votre avantage.

The product you’ll be responsible for is seen by more than 700M monthly active users.We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team to create new maps for Automotive, Logistics, Consumer Applications, Outdoors and Gaming. Your team will work with the machine learning and data curation teams to create more detailed maps and process new data types, such as points of interests, popular areas, outdoor features, and 3D features, into maps.Your technical skills and leadership will drive the feature development and operational excellence of these maps. You’ll also bring your people management skills to ensure that the team is growing while delivering on the roadmap.
